For me, it has to be a pretty good sandbox that caters to my fetishes and has a decent loop for me to even consider it. Things like My Oblivious Milf, WTM Academy (preferred Examination Day's story since it was explicit nonconsent, but alas), or Small Town. Otherwise real porn just takes me out of it too much, since there's usually not really a sense of continuity between the pics.

I think it makes it really really difficult to craft an engaging world that pulls me in. Handcrafted 2D/3D all the way.

I really don't like them, some of the reasons why have been stated above, but kind of get why some developers could decide to use it. I probably won't like them anyway, It would have to have a very good story, in wich case I would just ignore the visuals at that point.

They are near universally bad and they also often have absurd, inflated file sizes. I avoid games like that.

Okay, I am a huge fan of recycling, but..

I dont think they belong in the same category. After all, you cant claim real porn games have original story when all the costume scenes and settings were made by someone else completely. I can go cut and re edit the original star wars trilogy, for better or worse, i didnt make anything myself, all i did was re arrange someone elses work and piss my stamp all over it. And as we know even the house of mouse has issues making that lucrative.

Having said that, they can still be entertaining, and being different and not original does not mean they are not any good.

Same, often the scenes don't properly fit very well into the game since they are from elsewhere.

Some have great premises but I always lose interest in them quite quickly since the art always seems wrong.
