Overview:
Kensuke trained hard every day under the tutelage of his uncle Kazuto. One day, when he held a sword he found in the storehouse, he lost consciousness. When he came to, he found himself in a place he did not recognize. He met a girl who introduced herself as Oda Saburou Kuon Nobunaga. She held out her hand to a stunned Kensuke and asked him to become her husband and accompany her on the road to national supremacy. They travelled across the country, racking up victories in this period of social upheaval. However, there was one enemy they could not defeat: the oni. These man-eating, blood-drinking beasts soon took over all of Japan, plunging the country into hell. However, Kuon and Kensuke vowed to continue fighting, issuing a written appeal to all the influential lords: “Samurai who are not afraid of even the oni, gather under me and let us save Japan together!”

To install & run this game, you either need to use LocaleEmulator , or set your Windows Locale to Japan. You will also need software that can create a virtual Disk drive that will be used to mount the disks. You can use Software like WinCDEmu , DeamonToolsLite , or Virtual CloneDrive for this. After downloading and extracting, the folder should look like this. Step 1: Installing the Game Open the Disks folder, it should contain 4 files. We only care about the .mdf files. Launch whatever virtual Disk drive program you use, and mount the first file, called "DISK1.mdf" After mounting, it should show up in a new CD Drive in your windows Explorer like so Click on the drive, it should contain these files: Now, right click on "BootMenu.exe" and select "Run in Japanese (Admin)" from the Locale Emulator options The installer will open, click on the first button to start the installation: Click "Next" a couple of times until you get to this menu: Here you can select where the game should be installed, you can change the install directory by pressing the button on the top right. Afterwards, hit "Next" again. This menu will pop up: Here you can select if you want a shortcut to be created for the game (Upper Checkbox) and if you want the game to be added to the windows start menu (Bottom Checkbox) Below you can select whether the game should be installed only for the current user or all users. (Top option - all users, bottom option - only current user) Select what you want and hit "Next" a couple more times until the installation starts. Once the Installation bar hits 100%, it will ask you to insert the second disk. At this point, don't press anything in the installer, open up your virtual drive software and unmount the "DISK1" you have mounted earlier. Afterwards, mount "DISK2.mdf" into the same Drive you had "DISK1" mounted to earlier. DO NOT MOUNT TO A DIFFERENT DRIVE! Or else the installer will not recognize the disk. Once the new disk is mounted, the installer should resume installation automatically. If it doesn't, hit the OK button. Once installation is finished, the installer will give you a message with a single "OK" button, press that and it's completed. OPTIONAL STEP: Updating the Game to version 1.1 If you want, you can update the game to version 1.1 This update contains some minor bugfixes, but you can ignore this if you want. Just don't install this mid-playthrough as this could break your save file To install the Update, move the "sengokuX_ver1.1_update.exe" into the game directory, then run it with Japanese Locale (Admin). An installation Menu will pop-up again, just hit "Next" a couple of times and it should update the game. Make sure the game-folder has it's original Japanese name while your doing this, or the Update.exe will not recognize the game folder! After you are done with the Installation, it's recommended to rename the Game folder so it doesn't contain Japanese characters, otherwise it may not launch correctly on some PC's. You can also rename the Desktop shortcut if you like. Step 2: Applying the Translation To apply the translation, simply drag these two Update Files into the games main directory Congratulations, you are finished! To play the game, simply launch the "sengokux.exe" with Japanese Locale (Admin)
