Definitely WT for games where it's required. I don't feel any need to go through extra hoops to get the content that I want. Similarly, I dislike more than low grind.

I prefer to play the first time with WT whenever possible, then after I've finished I play without it to see the other paths

Yay definitely, it saves time and leads me where I want to go

Definitely need WTs for stories with branching paths.

I prefer it if a game doesn't need it, but sometimes you'll make a choice that seems like the right one and it'll lock you out, or there's so many paths it's a necessity

in game walkthroughs yay

separate file walkthroughs nay

if a game REQUIRES a walkthrough its probably not a very good game

I hate walkthroughs in general, in videogames, always is better to discover yourself things

The worst thing to me is getting stuck down a path I hate 8 chapters in on a game because the choices were too ambiguous. I always prefer a walkthrough over not having one.

If some games didn't have a zillion paths without a walkthrough, i'd agree but unfortunately, they have more paths than is sensible so I don't

I always appreciate a walkthrough even if it doesn't have very many paths. OFC, it is better to discover things yourself but some of these devs are annoying as hell and most games with branching paths have more than 3 paths and there's hardly any way of differentiating path choices

If there are more than 2 paths and they start to branch from there, then yes. I don't want to miss any content. But plenty of games are pretty straightforward and a WT isn't really needed.

I usually use WTs. Most of VN type games with choices of consequence are built with so obscure choices that you can lock yourself out of things you would want to see. I like games where the choices and goals are relatively clear without hidden variables that may be used ten releases later. "You chose to work instead of workout on day 1, so your strength is only 99 instead of 100. You fail to carry your bride over the threshold and will live in NTR hell forever!"

i don't use walkthrough on the first run but for the other it's another story because i want all the scene ;p
