As long as they are optional, I believe walkthroughs to be a great feature. Some people just do not have the time (or patience) to "trial and error" for the best possible ending.
Agreed. They should be an option, even if enabled by default they should be able to be disabled, but you also shouldn't need to save every 2 seconds if you don't have a walkthrough.
 
depends on the game. if there are multiple routes for good content i'd go without
 
when it is possible to skip some scenes then i want walkthrough or highlighted options
 
Walkthroughs are fine. They can save players time, and get them to the content they might have missed. I do wish devs made their games more intuitive. though.
 
Yes for me. I don't like sandbox games where there are no indications of what to do next.
 
Walkthrough after a first playthrough. I'd love to understand all the paths and info from a walkthrough.

Most games I just follow the path that I prefer, but there are some games that make no sense whatsoever without some sort of guide/walkthrough

Useful to discern between different paths, aim for either a good or bad ending and to see all content. Definitely a yes.

Yes for me most of the time. It's a porn game, I want to get to the fapping eventually and not be cockblocked by choices that I misunderstood ...
 
As I consume almost all AVNs as illustrated pornographic literature rather than as games, I normally prefer using an integrated walkthrough or walkthrough mod. Special Request offers a kinetic edition with a choice between two kinetic routes in addition to the branching regular edition. I am grateful for that, although it seems to be missing some of the content.
 
Walkthroughs are definitely a great thing. There are probably some vns I never would have gone through if there wasn't a walkthrough. Makes it far easier and simpler to have different routes and make sure I'm not missing anything. I don't have a lot of free time already, so can't afford to mess around and try to figure everything out for myself
 
I used to be NAY, but have swayed to YAY. The benefit is ofc that i no longer have to wonder if it's the right choice to do x or y. As it simply tells me. I save time, and I get to go down the rabbit hole of my choice. But the drawback is the lack of mystery. I do miss it sometime. The not knowing, the excitment in what could happen next. But, missing out, and the fear of missing out outweigh it all. Now I pretty much always take on WT when give the option.
 
ye, with many choice in game nowadays i have no spirit to play games to many times just to see some cg
 
In most games I prefer to find my own way. However, as others here have said, in AVNs you can accidentally skip content because you misunderstood the strangely worded question before the choice.
If there is no control of the outcome beyond not seeing content, the choice is meaningless anyway.
So yes I'll take it if its available to save my time and not see that empty spot in the gallery later.
 
If your games are something similar like Defending Lydia which needs a proper walkthrough or even Cara at Creekmaw it's somewhat convoluted or even can be complex definetly needs one
 
Built in or a mod. NOT a pdf, website, etc. It's a pain in the ass to have to switch between the game and it. AVNs also shouldn't be difficult.
