Updates and their content - Fewer content but frequent updates or larger content but slower updates?

That's the thing is always catch me, i indeed want more content quickly, but when is short it's a big turn off to me, so i prefer big ups slowly

Games should be breaking themselves up before they hit that 5 GB mark.. not sure why this is so hard for devs to understand.
But it should be able to import from part 1 to 2 and etc, without having to ask questions the player might not remember - or worse, ignoring previous player decisions. If player decisions don't matter at all, it isn't a game. It's also bullshit when there are paths and they work 1 path at a time so by the time they get to your path it can be over a year.

i prefer slower release but large and worthy content my part.

Give me those yearly updates that have enough content to last me at least 1-2 hours

Way too long. How can you remember from 1 year ago?

small but frequent updates are most of the time not worth the effort to even download for the amount they add, plus its usually mostly bugfixes rather than new content

If it's just bugfixes, only worth it if you heard of the bugs and didn't download the previous version because of such.

Doesn't matter. I can view changelog and decide should I download this part or not. If it's more convenient for the dev to update game rarely, so be it.

Fewer content but frequent updates probably... but updates that are around 2-4 months with some decent content.

Doesn't matter. If the developer releases small updates monthly - what's stopping you from waiting 3-4 months and seeing exactly what's new in the game.

I'm good with either, but I need communication. If something big needs to be done, an update also needs to be done monthly.

For devs, I think frequent updates are better because it'll usually help them grow their project, simply because every update raises the chance to attract new players, etc.

I personally prefer slightly larger updates with a little more content as it feels nicer to get into the game again and to play for some time before it's over.

Definitely larger. If small updates come after I reach the end of a game I will let it cook before diving back in

large content but slower update. You don't want a situation where you do frequent updates but it so minors of an update or if it in a branch that less likely to seen then people would be less likely to play the games sense they don't consider it having any meaningful update. This can hurt a game in the long run.

Bigger updates in a slower pace with steady dev news

large updates, if its small updates id wait till there were enough of them to warrant playing again which is pretty much the same as waiting for a large update

By making a quick recap. Most of the time if it is yearly released I just replay from start
Fuck that, I delete when it forces you to start over. Not doing that.

It must be a balance between waiting time and content. If it delays too much, I lose the interest to keep playing that game, doesn't matter if the updates are large. If a dev releases frequent updates with small content, it's not too much of a problem, I will adjust my time waiting several updates before play it again, the worst thing is when the releases are small but the waiting time is too long. It feels following just a milking dev.
