You think you want something but in reality you don't, that's why you play adult VNs instead of watching videos that are most likely higher quality as well, people play the games for the build up and more emotional investment. But it's also true that most games have a shitty plot/build up as well. So adult games that gets straight to the "action" are usually bad games and the devs don't understand why people wanna play a game instead of watching a Video that jumps straight to the action.

I respectfully disagree. Henteria Chronicles 2 has an extremely slow start and its still one of my favourite games. A slow start makes you care about the characters first so that later you care more about the sex scenes.

Porn games are exactly the same as regular games. If you were bored for an hour playing a game then you wouldn't play it anymore. I'm happy to play for that long if there are regular scenes to tease what comes in the second hour. If a game builds the tension for an hour properly then you'll cum ten times harder than if it makes you splap your goo in 15 minutes. Also, and i don't mean to be judgemental, but I, and most of the girls I know, would prefer a man to realize the merits of building up to an hour rather than need to finish in fifteen minutes.

I think it depends on if the story/writing is actually good, if it sucks then yeah just give me the good stuff but if the game is able to pull me in then I don't really care about the sexual content much.

There's a balance to be found, and I don't mind a slow burn, but I agree if I'm playing for an hour and nothing has happened yet then I will probably just not bother.

I both agree and disagree, but it's entirely based on my mood. If someone wants to make a game that focuses more on the story than the sex, fine. If someone wants to make a fapfest, also fine.

Sometimes, I want to get lost in a really well-built world. A Foreign World, for example, doesn't have a whole lot of sex in it thus far (three girls out of eleven so far, I think?), but I'm too into the story to really care. Sometimes, it's really hard to find a good balance between story- and smut-focused. Grandma's House honestly kind of annoys me in that regard, because you'll get a few minutes of dialogue and then it's just "by the way, let me stick it in your ass." I always just roll my eyes when a sex scene just feels really forced.
