idk if yall would be ok with my opnion, but im just gonna say it.... 5.Cabin in the woods 4.Shining 3.Hellraiser (1987) 2.Saw (only the first few ones) and my number one would be Chucky 3 since it was the horror movie i ever watched (i was like 9 and i got major trauma for a while xD)

1. The Shining
2. Interview with the Vampire
3. Dracula (1992)
4. The Exorcist (1973)
5. Rosemary's Baby

Alien, The Shining, The Wicker Man (original obv), Videodrome, The Thing

now we are taking ! Seems some movies everyone agrees are top 5 !

in no order (and why)

The Thing (great cast, great director, great score, great effects)
Evil Dead 2 (its the humor, i saw the first one too young and was scared, but this is one of my fave movies ever)
Hellraiser (early Clive Barker is great when he mixes the magical with the mundane, here it enhances the violence)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (so grimy and dirty and but mostly bloodless. Why does it seem so much more violent than that?)
Dawn of the Dead (the OG not the remake. THE best zombie film, I so nearly put Zombie Flesh Eaters aka Zombie, Fulchi or Romero? )

if there are any horror nerds out here

for me: return of the living dead (1985), scream (1996), lake mungo (2008), blackcoat's daughter (2015), the evil dead (1981)

not much good horror over the past couple years at least to my taste, but i really liked the passenger from last year. but it's more of a thriller.
don't have 5 but 1 horror movies quite scare me called Old 2021 from M. Night Shyamalan

Alien
Insidious
Paranormal Activity
A Quiet Place
Twilight, this one is scary because of how bad it is, sorry if anyone likes it :ROFLMAO:

My list:

If you have yours pick them!

King of The Hill, Attack on Titan, Breaking bad, and Everybody Hates Chris. I like to put on Everybody Hates Chris as background noise

One of my favorites is "Das Boot".
It's a WW2 film from the 80s, it follows the submarine U-96's crew. It feels fresh every time I see it. It's claustrophobic, dialogue is used masterfully, and the visuals and sound design are top notch. 10/10 would recommend. I'm not German btw.

Depends on your interests I guess. Predator, Aliens, Shawshank Redemption, Hot Fuzz, The Descent, Zodiac. There's a few at the top of my list.

The Bad Seed (both the 2018 and the 1950s one) and The Bad Seed Returns. Interesting Fact - the little girl from the 1950s one played a Psychologist in the later ones.
