discussion Tsunderes, appealing or not?

It depends on the tsundere. Some can be quite fun.

I'm not really into tsunderes who are like, “I love you, but for some reason, not only will I never tell you, I'll also treat you like crap for no particular reason.”

The ones who are like, “I love you, but you won't hear it from me because something happened to me and I have to navigate this as if it were thin ice” are okay, and there are some I actually like.

Then there are some who are classified as tsunderes but not quite—the ones who start out with feelings and an attitude clearly against you for X reasons, but little by little open up even though they flat-out deny it at first. Those are fine.

If they push the tsundere personality too much, I dislike it.
But if it's just part of the character and done well, I don't mind it.

I like tsunderes if they aren't cruel, like I don't think I'd appreciate one that was physically violent all the time, but if a tsundere is just putting up a front of annoyance or just being super bratty then I find them very appealing and endearing, I like the idea of teasing an annoyed tsundere and having that facade break thus exposing their real feelings.

And as for the bratty type, they are just in need of a good attitude adjustment I think, something about a brat turning into an apologetic mess with either a red bottom or soaked thighs just calls to something in me y'know?

As long as they are not too violent and actually begin to show and accept their love, then I think it's a good archetype.

i love tsunderes but only if they get extremely flustered in private. i like it when they're doing it on purpose, not because they don't realize they actually like the other person.
