this like debating whether or not peanut butter belongs on bread. if its a pb&j sammich - then yes. if it's a hot ham and swiss - no.

does pineapple go on a meatlovers pizza? no
does pineapple go on a steak and cheese pizza? no
does pineapple go on a hawaiian pizza? yes
does pineapple go on a bbq chicken & pineapple pizza? yes, it's right there in the name

this has always been a stupid debate, imo...

I don't mind people putting fruit on pizza, like tomato, olive, bell pepper, so I can't see any reason to have a problem with a vegetable, like pineapple?
It's sweet and sour, like a tomato. It's an exotic, imported ingrediënt to Italy, like a tomato. So what? Just mind the flavor combinations and you're fine

i personally think the base Hawaiian pizza is not good, however if you have the right pizza it can work, i once had a really intense spicy pizza that used the sweetness of pineapple to balance that out and it worked pretty well. but its a very specific case it works in.

No idea by who - the list includes fucking almonds. No sane person considers those "fruit."

Personally, I don't like pineapple, but I totally get the appeal. The general concept of a super sweet element on a pizza is a great one. A touch of honey can wake up everything on a slice.
