Make something EXTREMELY unpopular optional or at the very least, warn your playerbase that the game will have forced NTR.

Have you checked out the comments on F95? No crime was committed here. Even in Game of Thrones, they didn't have the full plot until the end. It's the writer's prerogative to craft their story. Unless explicitly stated at the outset that there will be absolutely no incest or NTR or any specific genre in the plot, it's best to let the writer unfold their narrative without broadcasting your discontent to the entire community and expressing joy over the game's abandonment.

Also, you are wrong. If people are going out of their way to pay money to support a developer, the developer is obligated to be transparent about the content of the game. That does not mean plot and story. What people are concerned about is genre and content.
People walked into a restaurant, paid ahead, and were served a pile of shit hidden under a cloche and you really expect people to eat it with a smile? No. People do not want their time and money wasted.

Just to reiterate something, the developer originally stated there would be no NTR in the game.

They are in the business of making games that appeal to a specific niche, porn games, which are defined by whatever fetish that are appealing to.

Thinking midway during development that it would be a good idea to add NTR is just a stupid business decision.

Well, some of the games I played with such settings were good.
- Lost In Paradise
- The Intoxicating Flavor
- Lewd Island (granted S2 is kinda shit, and people moan about the one scene where daughter is confused and angry at MC so she gets involved with someone else)
- Our Island

I can't remember other names for now but these games are among the good ones I played.

I really like the idea, but as others have said, they seem to always either suck from the start or become shitty after a while. It seems like most of them have devs who don't really plan anything storywise beyond "they are on a deserted island and must find ways to survive", aren't particularly good at writing compelling dialogues or meaningful character development, so they end up adding dumb things (like NTR in a deserted island setting) once they run out of ideas/get bored.

It's an interesting premise, but sadly I haven't seen many actually go anywhere of note. Idol Island seems pretty promising but that's in its early stages as well and it's been six months since the last update, so the update pace is rather slow. Really hope one day there'll be a standout game with this trope though!

Idol Island has a lot of promise. I like the premise and the cast a lot enough to put up with the survival game hunting and gathering stuff (flashing back to Mist). I hope it doesn't die on the vine.
