The message I get says parsing the script has failed. I deleted the first attempt, and tried putting the mod in manually, but it still failed

Ok, weird. I opened the game a third time, second time for the second installation, to screen cap the error message, when I thought of the errors file. Then I started to heard music, and saw game started working.

Hold that complaint until I come back, if I do. I'll only be back about this if more errors come up, and I'll do that as an edit. Could be the game just needed to be opened once before it's able to use the mod.

I think you need to use unren to unpack the rpa files, remove the rpa files and copy and overwrite with the mod after

Yeah.. worked great.. I used unren (you can find it on F95, make sure you get the one for renpy 7)
and then I deleted the day rpyc files and copied in the day rpy files from the mod, and the rest ofc.
When the game starts it will auto generate rpyc files from the rpy files.

This is why it only worked for you after you restarted the game, as first run it detected the rpy and rpyc files didn't match, so it had to generate new ones.

The file from the first post that is supposed to be "Win/Linux" is only "Win". Fortunately, I have Renpy SDK, so I can rebuild it for Linux only. Considering v0.2.6.2 has a linux bash script, I'm guessing that this is a mistake when building the new version.

If you're talking about the quasi-sandbox sequence with the hallway, there is actually only one order in which you can access the doors as of the present version. You go back and forth and then go downstairs. (I was using Sancho's mod if that makes a difference).

Click on that right-hand file, that's the WT. (It's not in the game zip file.)
