I saw mentioned that the dev is working on a lot of the off-screen stuff. Apparently it's not dead, but didn't see anything about if the next update is even close to being around the corner.

This was one of the classic taboo games. You interact with lots of characters in the town and seduce them all. However, the game has basically stagnated for years with minor technical patches pushed out. The dev appears to be milking the property as his backers pay huge amounts each month for basically no new content for years. Overall, a fantastic game made by a developer who has become lazy or unable to work.

if you have to ask the question, it's most likely the latter.
Just the sad reality of subscription-based development. And those "technically not abandoned" projects are the worst kind. At least have the decency to stop stringing along your audience if you burnt out or something.

They're apparently still the 11th most popular Patreon on the site (including both NSFW and SFW content). While their subs have stopped growing as much, they're not going down.

They look to have actually gotten 10%+ more subs in 2023. So yea, they are just milking subscribers by putting out the minimum amount of content.

It's a shame as there is quality content here.
