I hoped that this game could turn me on to 2D games, but unfortunately it didn't work. Still was the pretty fun experience.

wait, this game is STILL in development and not completed yet? Big yikes. Dev sure likes to milk dat patreon money. Don't get me wrong, game itself pretty damn amazing and that rare 2D art is just being a chefs kiss. The rate of updates on the other hand tho... Might as well wait for 10 years so that game actually gets finished.

The last time I've played Summertime Saga was probably in 2019 to 2020, is it worth to play it again? How much content is there? It didn't really liked the game back then, but it could've gotten better since then.

Great game so far, well written story, characters and plotlines. Animations are a bit choppy, especially the earliest scenes. Dev has been converting his game for a while now to remove the black bars and give it a higher aspect ratio. Sadly i think his coding is a mess and causing this process to go excruciatingly slow.

Really was one of the big h-games back in the day, but the lack of updates has really made it lack behind many newer amazing games, with more of an consistent update schedule

I mean, people are still giving him money and showing support for the game, if things go bad the dev will throw some fast update to see the money go up again and abandon the game for another year

Summertime Saga is ironically the game that got me into adult games in general. Phenomenal art, funny writing and an interesting style of minigame. But to be honest DarkCookie clearly gave up on ever getting the game out years ago. Which you know, power to them, they've found their way to making consistent good money.
Just saddened I'll likely never see any content with characters like Judith or an actual end to the main story.
