Yeah that's kinda what I've been doing lately without realizing it, playing shit like Factorio (Space Age is da bomb). I still add AVNs to my collection if they seem worth downloading (ie not a female protag, not a sandbox, not some obsolete interface like html or RPGM, not 2D, lolis and incest getting priority, etc) or have an update, but I haven't actually played anything in nearly a month now. I was hyped for S2 of SSP to find out what happened to the dausis after she shot her dad and why, but that is now all done gone to hell. and now I'm with you, and ready to just say fuck it all. Wish he would have simply moved to Unifans and simply made another Discord like everyone else does every so often after predictably getting banned (not too hard if you keep a .txt of the server layout and settings, just reinvite everyone with a new link, wax, rinse, repeat as necessary), the few loli devs still getting paid are now mostly thru that with SS shadowbanning them all.
Yep. In general I didn't really play adult VNs that often because there are not even that many that are at least worth my time to give them full attention, but it was great to see something like EGBE once in a while even if it was just going to be a 30-minute play.

Simple this wasn't the first time he was targeted and eventually it's just not worth it. That is the sad reality.

Read his post on the forum he has to eat and can't make free games after being banned from most pay sites and payment processors. 🤷‍♂️
I hope that he was at least able to save from money while he was working on this. I don't know how much he was making with the games. But being out of a job so suddenly must be scary as fuck, especially since he has a family to provide for.

I still think Found in Translation and My Daughter Forever are solid offerings. FiT gets consistent, if small updates. MDF is more sporadic. God Life is probably on equal footing with BHG. Maybe not quite SSP tier, but pretty damn close. Also we still have Director Games, but not everyone like Koikatsu, I guess... I don't love it unless it's well done. There are a couple others that are slipping my mind, but the point being G+ is not completely dead. There are still solid offerings keeping the section alive, even if they're less consistent.
You are right. The news just struck me like lightning so I overreacted. I'd say there are still some good or decent games out there.

Concerning Blackheart Games, I'm actually a lot into dark stuff but I don't like the 3D art they use and the way they animate. I usually applaud people who just stick to HS2 because, even if the characters look generic, they'll at least look pretty. Some of the DAZ games out there honestly feel like they actually belong in a horror catalogue by how ugly everyone is and how awkward the animations are, as if animations were mandatory.

I had also completely forgotten about My Daughter Forever, which is nice enough.

God Life is actually pretty good and I'm always waiting for new updates.

I'd also mention The Trio, Molly's Life, and Thirty Seconds, which look promising.

Bored Kitty is one of the most promising ones, even though we may never get actual direct intercourse there. It's the most engaging one for me. I love the mere fact of interacting with Kitty.

And finally Uncanny. I'm very eager about seeing more from Uncanny.

I mean he didn't abandon it easily, dude went as far as moving to another country to work on his games, the problem is that, he was having troubles with SS, a lot of people couldn't sub to him because their cards kept getting declined, and on top of that every time he found a new platform for him to monetize the games he kept getting banned. Then he loses his discord and the only platform where he is still able to monetize the game shadowbans him. People are saying that he should've moved to unifans. Yea he could've done that, but if you look at their rules they also don't allow loli content and there are devs and artists that have been banned from there.
So even if he did that it would just be a matter of time until he got banned again.
I don't think you guys are taking into consideration how mentally taxing that must be. It was not an easy decision for him. This was his ONLY source of income. So now he had to abandon the games he loved and is out of a job.
Now he has 2 options he can either quit game making altogether or he can try to create a more vanilla game and move to a platform that is more user friendly like patreon. Without loli content I think he would thrive there. Hopefully he does that.
More accurately Mastercard doesn't allow loli content, Unifans unofficially doesn't care as long as it's legal, the TOS is just their way to appease MC but they seem to ignore most loli devs as long as it's not too blatant/open to where they can't cover their asses from MC. The work around is you are not buying content directly but buying site coins/tokens that are then used for sub fees. What the devs do is simply not post direct game links or other content like previews at all and for the most part it seems that's good enough for MC, as a few of my subs I moved from SS to there after last year's loli purge on SS and so far it seems fine (Goosenards is one of them). They just tell subs to go to a (probably disposable, with a spare ready to be set up in 10-15 mins when needed) private Discord for the links. And if there's a problem with a card blocking a transaction rather than Unifans doing so, well, those site coins can also be bought with crypto as a backup option (which isn't much different than using Paypal with the way they've streamlined the process with Coinbase).

Yea even platforms like patreon don't give a fuck about that type of stuff, they just don't allow incest and stuff like that because they were pressured by paypal.

I actually hope that the cc's simply start banning ALL porn rather than just this or that kink or format. Maybe that will be the push the porn industry needs to all band together as one and just make their own damned bank as an industry (not 5/3.com or PNC.com but Adult-Bank.com). I seriously doubt they would just lay down and die gracefully at any rate. Though they are repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot and have been for 20+ years by offering porn for free and at this point it's probably too late and they are bleeding out from both mangled legs and not just a foot. As the saying goes who pays for porn anymore? As it is there's no need to. Only reason I paid Ketzal was because it had lolis.

that free porn you say is shooting them in the foot has made them the biggist industry in the world and either the highest or second highest grossing media in the world. They hit exactly the target they want and porn is not bleeding out from this.

They seem to be to me.

It depends on your definition of industry size. Number of consumers, for sure. Revenue? Overall that's been declining for decades. Most free stuff online still manages to get ad dollars (or more accurately used to, Adblock mostly broke that). Not porn though, because Google doesn't allow it on Adsense. It's why you see nothing but banner ads for fake dick-size pills and other free porn sites and never see porn sites advertised anywhere but on other porn sites (assuming the ads are not blocked to begin with). It's also kinda obvious when even when you are willing pay for it you can get a typical deal where you get access to 20+ sites for like $10/mo or something. That's because they all went of of business and sold to a bigger company (the other option was to go bankrupt, alot of older porn sites simply no longer exist), and even those bigger companies like Mindgeek are losing value despite increased traffic from those other site purchases that probably just slowed that down rather than reversed it. Most of the $ growth you are probably thinking of are from independent cam whores (some of which will cater to any kink in a private custom clip; incest, age play, scat, bestiality, etc generally shit that totally wouldn't fly with a regular site out in the open, so of course more people are willing to actually pay extra for that), not traditional sites and their studios. Of course like AVN devs and everything else ruled by an internet algorithm or wealth distribution in general most of those cam whores make peanuts, prob the top 1% gets like 70-80% of all the money people are still paying. I can honestly say I have never paid for porn, other than buying a used mag from an older buddy when I was a kid that wasn't old enough yet to buy it new myself (no, it wasn't sticky). I've simply never needed to as with a bit of persistence I can find just about any kink to fap to for free, and that probably goes for most.

I almost forgot the fact that he moved to another country in order to make the game. That's truly someone who was passionate about this project. I would say we are blessed to get what we got at the end, because anyone else in his shoes would've gave up long ago, he was truly dedicated till the end.
I feel so sad and guilty that I never got the chance to contribute to his work, I hope I find him in the future on patreon or wherever he goes in order to send my thanks for everything that he's done

I talked to someone who has contact with him and they said that he is pretty pissed off right with the whole situation, but he still wants to make games. So I think we will see him again. He will probably take a little break to calm down and organize his thoughts.

Good to know, thanks for keeping posted

I read that he wasn't stopping. That SSP would be finished for free. Did that change?

People who support censorship disgust me, we're moving onto a time where payment processors decide what we can play, And that's not how it should be, a future where all "taboo" is banned from fiction
I sure as fuck don't support it, I haven't gave a dime to anyone (not just AVN devs but anyone at all) on Patreon since their first round of bullshit when they banned Mr. Dots when he was still making DMD 8 years ago and I probably never will again. I simply don't wnat 8% of my money funding and encouraging more of their stupid policies. Same for SS, I now have 0 subs after last year's similar shit. Maybe if everyone had the same attitude and also quit using credit cards and went back to cash and checks and crypto no matter what incentives Visa/MC uses maybe they'd quit giving a shit about what a bunch of Australian Karens and similar digital terrorists want when they started losing a billion $ a month. Just keeping their customer service line clogged won't accomplish much, other than them simply getting fed up and closing their cs dept (not that they need it anyway, most people will use them regardless like a bunch of zombie sheep).

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. If it sounds too good to be true then it is. Although that would be great but logic tells me Ketzal's more worried about how to pay for next months rent and food rather than finishing a game at his own expense Just the electric bill for the rendering alone likely adds $100/mo to it, aside from thousands of hours in front of the PC as well as paying his help like Pietro (his animator). It sounds like a game of telephone gone bad already. He said he'd be back at some point, but he didn't say to finish SSP (for free = lol).

Patreon made a shit ton of money off taboo games and indeed they did capitulate to payment processors.

Funny enough the site TOS forbid certain content but they turned a blind eye for profit.

Lesson here money rules and those with more money have control over you.

I think it is important to remember that while those karrens are cunts and may be the face of the attacks.
But they actually did nothing, and would have achieved nothing if the powers that be didn't want this.

Just the same a right wing concerns are being used to implement digital id in the name of saving children from the internet despite it being against there interest in every other way.
Rather than the parents say I don't know parent.

Nothing is being done for the people, no matter how loud or numerous, this is a flex of power.
The hate should always be aimed at the banks, payment processors and governments for not reigning them in.

I also must add that agree entirely with your refusal to give these companies money.
All our creators should have crypto as an option by now.

in 2005 to 2007 porn as an industry was already a 20 billion dollar business. Pornhub alone reduced their content size from something like 14 million videos down to 3 or 4 million in 2020 when they got attacked by master card and they are still a billion dollar company. pornhubs content is predominately free as well. I dont think you quite grasp the size of porn.

We may lose some things in the short term, but this payment services problem will not damage it long term.

I was supporting him on SubscribeStar and was online when his discord got shut down and I got a violation on discord from that. He made a comment or two on SS mentioning that he was figuring out what he was going to do about discord when his SS was also taken down. I think it's a safe bet that this finally killed his game.
