I think when he says "pointless", he means he ran into some technical issues which rendered his efforts futile, and he gained no new knowledge that would facilitate the process in the future. It would absolutely be an awesome scene for sure, which is why he attempted it in the first place. Maybe he should consult with @badbod if there is any overlap in the software they use? Or given the quality of ketzal's renders it could just be a hardware issue.

Yeah he left a couple months ago. I have seen 3-4 characters in Daz animations, they are just not easy to do. Aside from ram usage more models = more time to set up and more opportunities for things to go wrong, and often you don't know it went wrong until 10-30 hours later when it's done depending on how many frames the loop consists of (roughly 3-5 mins each on average with a 4090 and 1080p, plus the time it takes to load each frame which is often 2-3x longer than render time with complex renders due to a shortcoming in the way Daz 4.x works, as even using an NVMe drive with 14 GB/s speed and a 7950x processor will not help load times that much). That's a lot of trial and error at a day each, so time spent vs what gets accomplished is diminishing returns after a point, unless one is multimillionaire rich and has several similar high-end rigs each doing a different animation at once and can hire the manpower to keep those busy like a mini Industrial Light & Magic or something.

I like when games have animations but I actually wouldn't mind if it didn't have animations but the updates were longer.

I'm on the fence on that one. When this started it had no animations and I was fine with that, now I can't imagine it without them and I'd be a sad panda if they were no longer included in future updates. I still dream of the day when Leana's first orgasm scene gets animated.

They are spread out over roughly 3 years, a bit before SSP started, but are not in chronological order in my Ketzal folder. Unfortunately the way Windows works the folder creation dates the render sets are in are all the same when I moved them off my download drive to an external backup, so can't do the usual list in order of creation date simply by clicking a tab since it says they were all "created" the same day I cut/pasted them (all 4-11-24 other than a few after that).

Yea I like when games have animations but I don't think they are necessary, for me it's just a cool bonus.

Sorry, I disagree. With a good plot, animation is just a nice addition, but it doesn't save a shitty plot by itself, no matter how hard you try.Animation is a nice bonus. But if it's not there, well, no, "Restore Her Career" has no animation at all, and a great plot and set of fetishes, overall a very good VN.

They will be included when I get to them, as the latest set was still a few months ago and already uploaded, it was the Halloween 2024 one as partially due to having to deal with SS's shit there was no xmas 2024 set, as well as being still busy with SSP.

I agree to disagree. Without the first awesome Alice and MC animation in the hotel that was included in the first version that i played of this game.....i would most likely not have played/followed this game further.

I've always wondered why people who think like this engage with VNs at all. Like why not just do an asset RIP since you're not really engaging with the story? I don't really care about storyless images/animations unless they're from an artist I really like, and most artists I like usually provide a blurb or a themed setting for a series of images that you can get into even if they're not writing a full storyline. Like you can download the game, rip the assets with Un'Ren, and dump the folders into GonVisor/MPC to just go through the images and videos.

Yeah like for the incest to me without the story/context it wouldn't do much for me, as with just the pictures how would you know they were related or even who they were? I guess you could still get your loli jollies, but with half the entertainment value. Just watching strangers fuck with 0 empathy or connection to them I can get real versions of just by going to a porn site, which even with those the longer 30-60 minute unedited ones you can sometimes find usually also has at least a minimal story to set it up along with a full script of dialog, esp the legit incest ones that Family Therapy or Incezt.net used to do (before they also switched to stupid stepcest garbage like most everyone else).

and sex is just sex, which can be seen anywhere. if you want, you can play roleplay in reverse, when the viewer begins to play the actors who play on the screen, when the viewer tells himself that in the frame there is a brother and sister (and by the way, this even often works haha) - if you really need to see sex between a brother and sister, because someone said that all people are brothers and sisters, haha.

and I personally am interested in the dynamics of the development of the "wrong" relationship. when in the end two admit to themselves and their future partner their love and attraction and become a little happier in life - and this is wonderful, damn it. you learn not to be a hypocrite, you learn not to condemn what you do not immediately understand, you learn to give a chance for an explanation of what you do not understand at first glance - thereby you learn not to act like primates behave in the wild. and monkeys have a typical logical chain when meeting with the unknown
