I don't think that was explained. But probably when Ketzal started he intended to let us name all the characters but then decided against it. Only he can tell for sure.

I think the lesbian stuff is supposed to always be avoidable. At least up until now you always have a choice if you want lesbian content or not.

Solo lesbian? In my game? If you mean the Sophie and Nicole scene, yes. You can avoid that. And you can choose to avoid all lesbian scenes in a choice at chapter 2.

The first version gives the choice for all the characters, but during the tests and just after publishing the prologue, people were talking to me about Sam, Nicole, Rebecca, Alex, Rose... etc. to tell me about Alice. I was getting lost in the comments, so I removed the option, but left it for Alice, as many people already had saves with the choice of a new name. I didn't want to break players' saves. So it was left
