Considering the 'office scene' was released as a separate part (and easy to miss if you don't pay attention) I am not liking this 'carved up' experience. It is dogshit for consistent story telling! Doing a 'prelude' or whatever should either be integrated in the regular story (and updates) or done afterwards as an extra or some such, imo. Software as a service was a mistake and the subscription model is nothing but detrimental to everyone except the ones cashing the cheques and even they get to deal with increased whining and complains from subscribers.

The office scene was a bit of a special case. It was originally intended to be released back in September, but it kept getting delayed. The dev's intention seemed be be just to include it in the next release, then the next, then release it with the standalone, then just wanted to get it out and done. As for the standalone stories, I'm going to copy what ketzal wrote about them.

Having these not integrated into the game proper is probably the best option. For example, the Macy standalone takes place before the MC is born. The protagonist is not the result of parthenogenesis, i.e. someone had sex with Macy other than the MC. We all know that will cause some people to lose their minds. The same thing with Eve and Tiffany. This way, those who just want to live out their fantasy's via the MC can do so secure in the belief that no man other than themselves ever touched any of their LIs. For those who are interested in the story, who are curious about the characters' backgrounds, or who aren't particularly attached to characters but just want some eye candy, they can enjoy these stories.

not sure if it was answered before or not, stats - how exactly do they work? corruption/degradation/jealousy of girls and corruption/degradation of MC - do you want them high or low? for eventual full-harem-everyone-happy ending... dom/sub points also in question
taking first choice in the game for example, give in and kiss Alice or get up - giving to her increases corruption and degradation of both her and MC - so it is good? but also makes MC more submissive to her - it should be bad? i don't really want my MC to be femdommed and manipulated by every pussy he sticks in, there is enough of that plot wise already... and here also love stat

Only ketzal knows. Beyond some choices being locked based on stats like corruption and degradation, there are a few differences. If the MC decides to spend the night with Nicole, if his degradation his high enough, it will start with a brief hallucination of Nicole as younger versions of herself. As for dominance, so far that just results in variant dialogue where the MC is more curt and assertive in some scenes, but it does not yet impact the story. Based on the stats in the game, I'm confident ketzal has ideas of how they'll impact the game, but those ideas haven't been shared beyond a comment that the game will start to make choices for you based on previous choices. Then again, who knows how those ideas will hold up to years of game development. I've seen games where stats essentially become meaningless by the end; I've also seen games where you are suddenly locked out of an ending because you missed a love point years ago. All of that is just an extremely long-winded way of saying there is no way to answer your question at this time.

I'm guessing it'll have scenes that are... I suppose the term would be NTR-adjacent. Not really NTR but the types of scenes that NTR-haters would dislike in a similar way. Like, with Macy it's about her past; so likely scenes with her and her dad.

Honestly kinda nervous about the side-stories, because it could potentially kill my interest in the main game, depending on what's shown and how it's told.

Think it would be better if the game would just have a disclaimer/warning about subject matter at the start of the game instead of having the story be interrupted by these warnings. That way: We were already warned at the start of the game and you do not need to interrupt the game story.

About the additional content in the other stories. There is nothing about SSP told. Just the past of some characters, so no risk of NTR.

While I in no way support sending threatening emails to the dev under any circumstances, I dont really like this side story content. At all.
I play these games because I want to immerse myself into a more pleasant world, I like to play and identify as the main character of the game and I want to develop a certain intimacy and connection with the girls. That is why I play porn games as opposed to just visiting pornhub. I really dont want to see any of these:
- Love interests of the MC having sex with other guys
- Love interests of the MC talking about their past sex life/their ex boyfriend/their body count (unless in the case of them telling MC that he is their first)
- MC sharing his love interests with other guys
- watching other guys fuck girls on screen at all (voyeurism)

Depending on the severity these can completely ruin a game for me, even if I love everything else about the game, as I do in the case of Such a Sharp Pain. Now some people respond to this saying "you take the game to serious, bro" but if we are not supposed to take games seriously, why would we spend our time and money on them? Seems like a complete waste to me. If you want players to take your game serious enough that they support you monthly by giving you their hard earned money, it should come as no surprise that they also take it serious enough that watching "their girls" cheat on them with other guys causes emotional pain or at least disappointment to them.

Ultimately you are the one to decide what content to add to your game, Ketzal. But I would strongly suggest you focus your work on MC's story and the girls in his life fawning over him, rather than all this background/side story stuff. It is what most players prefer to see and it will make much more happy players.

but if you look at how Mackie behaved in all the previous episodes of the story, there could be no other scenario.
you can not constantly shout "wolves, wolves!" if there are no wolves around,
they will stop believing you.
Mackie has reached the limit of blackmailing her son. nothing else could happen.

although she could be saved, but at the cost of her personality, as happened, for example, in the RHC, where the son of dominance can turn the mother into an empty shell blindly following his orders.

if the MC of SSP knew how and wanted to dominate, then he would have turned Maki into a weak-willed sexual slave - maybe then Maki would have been saved (although I don’t know which is worse - to make a doll out of a person or let him kill himself)
this is actually a very difficult question.

but just write "I want Mackie to be alive" - no, it doesn’t work that way, if the character is worked out, he has his own logic of actions and he cannot do otherwise - the work will turn from a drama into a farce, into a farce, into a caricature, into a fucking circus.
"such a sharp pain" is actually a drama with many instructive moments and "readers" should learn lesson.
it is a some sort of greek tragedy.

We are really living in the Age of Idiocy and Hypocrisy... it's just a game, a fiction, actually banned in several countries, people can be arrested just for following this content. How far have we come? If the person doesn't like something, unfollow, simple as that. Ignore it, delete it, go do something else. The person who makes threats because of something fictional must be dealt with mentally.
For these and other reasons that I don't like violence related to lolis, we are already too criminalized without scenes of violence, that would be just one more reason to throw more stones at us. Keep up with your work, and those of you who aren't enjoying it... turn off, get out, delete, delete, go do something else.
