Depends. When trying a new game, I give the sound a try too. Set on low volume, because most games have a far too loud default setting. (especially Eastern games)

If there is good music which aids the atmosphere, I play with sound. If the sound turns out to be annoying, I switch it off.

I tinker with it, if shit is annoyingly loud, but I live alone, so I don't care usually. I like having the setting to slide at least, I hate those games that are just on and off, and I have to adjust my own speakers. It sucks going to watch a video on Youtube or some shit, and remembering a stupid ass game made turn it way down.

I prefer sound for games or anything I’m watching, but I haven’t come across anything particularly annoying yet. I would like if more games had voice acting, at least for the female voices.

Now I do cut it, yeah, but some royalty-free music I first heard in games before hearing it on YouTube, which is pretty weird.

I have my headphones plugged in but laying next to me. Music is usually off or very low. Other sounds, if I like them, I tune so I can softly hear them from my headphones. Or all off/low so I don't.

I think sounds are fine, but music is getting boring very fast. It often is harder to read if you have music. Of course if there is nice music that fits it, but mostly forget about it. I personally always turn it off...

I give a game a couple seconds of music to see if it adds to the experience. It almost never does. So, sound off much more often that not.

Even in SFW gaming; voices off, and alot of the time, music off. But music adds to the whole thing alot more often in SFW gaming. Darkest Dungeon wouldn't be the same without it.
