Honestly, the high pitched moaning in most H games great on my nerves so very much, I mute almost all of it

I mute by default. The only sound I'd consider listening to is moaning during sex scenes, and it'd have to be decent, which isn't that common.

I mute music and reduce sound volume in every VN

Yeah, I mute mine sometimes If I don't wanna hear game music. But there are exemptions, especially Stardew Valley.

most I mute, the only one I've played with good voice acting and sounds is Ravager
Agreed.
Ravager is the only game I don't turn off all sounds for by default, and props to the game for that quality.

Otherwise? Sound off. I'll give music a chance and see if it adds something, but it rarely does.

Sometimes the in game sound it's worth it, sometimes it is not, it depends in the game and in ur likings.

Some games just go in a loop with shitty free music, and they are others that the sounds and the bso makes it more immersive and builds more ambience

I mostly have the music or master volume on really low. It can be a bit distracting at times

Depending on the quality of the game's music and sound, some elements create a sense of immersion, while others completely break the spell; then there are those that are no different from white noise—it makes no difference whether you have them on or off.

Tend to leave it on unless it's poor quality or is too much of a contrast to the games theme.

True. Regrettably, decent soundtracks are not exactly a priority in porn games.
