For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

Site Suggestions / Changes / Reverts

1. Revert the changes (if you know, you know) that were made to the VIP / P5 forums :
LC was always a less restrictive version of ATF, it had its own identity because of this since the start. This changed suddenly without any vote, without asking or informing the members about it. - I remember people posting to ask what was happening, why was everything being deleted or hidden? And being told vaguely that: admins are just cleaning up the forum and getting rid of the older stuff. Then 2 days later, bam! new annoncement that no one asked for that now make this site a worse version of what ATF was. Revert the change, no one asked for it. (I am guessing some people from ATF did since the change was synced with people from ATF migrating, but this is LC, not ATF... )

2. The sandbox and management game TAGS should have 3 tiers :
In my opinion this NEED to be improved. I wont touch any game that has grind in it, I just don't have time and don't enjoy it. Right now, how the game tags are setup, if I find a game i might think I will like, I have to go through all the comments to read if people are complaining about grind and trying to decipher what kind of sandbox or what kind of management the game has. Since sandbox and management can mean so many things ( from just a sprinkle of it to maximum grind). Here is my proposed fix, more refined game TAGs :

sandbox-light : the game has a map with ''destinations'' like home , work , gym, cafe, etc - but the game is mostly linear and clearly indicated, if not then easy to find what should be done next. No task like work (+$) or gym (+stats) should be repeated more than 3-4 time without a meaningful change of that task during the game.

sandbox : the game has a map with ''destinations'' like home , work , gym, cafe, etc - the player has the freewill to experiment his ''choices'' of destinations as he please without any meaningful direction. Tasks like work (+$) or gym (+stats) could be repeated indefinitely but will have meaningful changes within 5-10 repetitions of that task during the game.

sandbox-grind : the game has a map with ''destinations'' like home , work , gym, cafe, etc - the player has the freewill to experiment his ''choices'' of destinations as he please without any meaningful direction. Tasks like work (+$) or gym (+stats) could be repeated indefinitely but will have NOT necessary have meaningful changes after 10 repetitions of a task during the game.

Same overview principle for the management TAG :

management-light: example - some money found or acquired that can give you stuff extra but not necessary and no grind

management: example - some money / management system that needs to be achieved to advance/move forward with the game, not much grind.

management-grind: example - a complex monetary / management system that will be used throughout and is part of the core of the game.

Site stability should be on the top. Since I've been here there has been large changes way too often. At some point the owner Kevinsky/Hisenburg ended up causing an exodus of users who went on to ForbiddenHaven.

I noticed the bank is different than when I used it last, which is I don't know how
long ago. So I put 1,000 coins in to try, I've collected the interest twice now and it stays
at the same number $1,000 and it doesn't go up even by one coin. So is the interest going
directly into the wallet? Not that I need the coins, but I am curious.

I disagree regarding NTR. Netorari, netorase, and netori are completely different things IMO
I meant to have it as an overarching term for all - so you can block all 3 with 1 entry.

And yes - the constant changes to the rules are a big negative.

A 'Newbies Corner' (in the Tools & Tutorials section) with a bunch of start to finish game templates specifically for anyone getting into gamedev for the first time. So they can quickly get a very basic game up and running on various engines and then change / add to it.

I think a lot of people who want to get into gamedev get overwhelmed with info and then get discouraged and give up. There were next to no tutorials when I started out in the early days of YouTube. Now there are too many that finding what you need as a novice can be very hard. Walking someone through their first game would get them over that initial obstacle.

Keep it simple. As someone who is more of a casual in this arena, I can't deny that I have felt confused on numerous occasions when reading the site rules and explanations on what it takes to achieve this or that. I appreciate the service provided here, so I don't complain, but I imagine things could be a bit more smooth. Can anyone reading this tell please tell me one thing? How many coins (and what type) do I need on my account to access member +??

I understand there are far more important changes which should be made, but the one thing that really irritates me is having to wait two and a half minutes between likes (or reactions, w/e).

Restore the previous “Funding" (not Donation) page - you know which one I mean.
And you also know why I'm suggesting this.
Your explanation for why you reversed the change just one week after implementing it didn't convince me that it was the real reason for switching back to the old, albeit slightly modified, version.

Capitalize the “U” in “uploaders”; it just looks stupid compared to the other text and annoys me every time I see it.

We were promised that the threads and content that were deleted or lost during the many rollbacks would be restored, but that still hasn't happened.

Your Work Is Not Forgotten

And please don't come back with another excuse about how it can't be done or with a vague promise like “I'll see what I can do” - we've heard that before, and nothing has happened anyway.

The approach was good, but the execution left something to be desired.

I have ears.

Set up a section where all users of this site can freely share their concerns, worries, complaints, and dissatisfaction without fear of being punished, berated, or even insulted for their critical views.
Yes, that’s right - here on this site, not on Discord.
The reasons for this are obvious and probably don’t need further explanation.

Get rid of those pointless ranks - which aren’t really ranks at all, but just perks that let you make cosmetic changes.
This isn’t Discord, where you have to pay extra for such useless junk.
Selling user-friendliness is just as stupid as making users pay for enhanced security settings.
It’s just despicable business practices and a money-grabbing scheme.
Users should be rewarded for using this site instead of others, rather than being milked or forced to interact with the site through coercive measures.

Once the issue with the ranks has been resolved, please finally update the site guidelines and bring them up to date; so far, they are either outdated or contain conflicting information, and no one knows which information is correct.

Get rid of the banking system and all types of coins!
Yeah, I know that would make the shop unnecessary, but nobody needs it anyway.
If you want to get someone to funding (not, "donate" to) the site , motivate them with good service, not with empty promises or ranks and perks that you withhold from regular users.
People should donate for good and honest reasons, not to buy an advantage over others who lack the financial means or who simply don’t see why they should pay for something that’s available on other sites completely free of charge and without restrictions.

You can't sell something that doesn't belong to you - only the services you provide yourself.
Everyone else does it voluntarily and without pay to serve the community, not to line their own or your pockets.

That's a pirate ship, not a luxury liner.

Remember, Captain Jack, that the planks are very thin and have rotted quite a bit in the four years since the ship set sail.
And the sea is rough, the competition never sleeps, and they’re already on their way to cut across our course and take the wind out of our sails...

That particular topic has been brought up on several occasions in the Staff Area . As well as other things that you mentioned...

I agree.. As a K.I.S.S guy myself.. The Simpler it is, the easier it is to fix if it needs fix'in...

Yes, but my point was that the 3 different NTR types are different things and that people may want to exclude only one of them.
Or did you mean that we should have one tag that encompasses all 3 plus the 3 more specific tags? That seems redundant to me.

An alternative option might be to have parent tags and child tags. That could also be applied to @TacoThuesday idea, which I really like

You do not simply lump Netori with NTR. Netorare and Netorase and different from Netori. People who hate NTR mainly hate Netorare and Netorase, but not Netori. So if you label a Netori game as NTR, it's going to get ignored and not given a chance due to it being labeld as NTR.

I don't know how else to explain it to those that want to label all 3 under one tag. If you don't understand what NTR is then keep out of the discussions when it comes to it's tag. We should not have to bring this topic up again.

Better to have all 4. Keep NTR as an umbrella so someone can exclude all of them. Especially if it stays limited to excluding 10 tags, which isn't anywhere close to enough. I want to block at least the ones where anyone else fucks a LI. And with the meager 10 limit it isn't enough when there are 3 different ones. Just like futa has like 3 or 4 different ones.
