Just pray it doesn't pull a New Years Day(e). Jonesy can get f'n dark out of no where. This is one of the most wholesome avn´s i have ever played.
I get why you'd think that. NYD definitely got dark really fast. It's become a very polarizing VN, for sure. In a way, the characters in CE and NYD are almost like superheroes. While I tried to make the characters relatable and somewhat believable, at the end of the day, it's all very unrealistic to me (Not that it's a bad thing). And superheroes need a supervillain. So, I provided one. Also, I've never written anything before and I'm still learning how to write. So, I tried something that may or may not turn out to blow up in my face if I can't bring it back - we'll see.Just pray it doesn't pull a New Years Day(e). Jonesy can get f'n dark out of no where.
Make sense.. writing is.. "fun"I get why you'd think that. NYD definitely got dark really fast. It's become a very polarizing VN, for sure. As far as Siren Song goes, all I can say is that I have no intention of taking this story in the same direction. I toured with bands for over fifteen years of my younger life. If I can't find enough story fodder within all my memories without relying on the same terrible types of events depicted in NYD, then there's something wrong with me. Well, something ELSE wrong with me, anyway.
His stories are already bait and switch as it is. You aren't suppose to notice or mention it though.Make sense.. writing is.. "fun"
My only suggestion is to spend time consuming material on writing (movies/books/videos.. VNs are a bit of all 3) when you can. YouTube videos are a great resource for this since there are so many writers on there. Setting up audience expectations at the start is an important lessons I learned that way.
Nothing wrong with dark stories as long as the audience is expecting it but if your initial setup is all happy/low drama then people will get very upset when things suddenly shift without warning. Imagine you're watching John Wick 5 and 1/4 of the way through he decides to put his guns away and start a dog walking business with his new female neighbor and OMG when did my action flick turn into a romcom?!?![]()
Thanks. I'm glad you liked it overall, even if the ending ruined the "wholesome" vibe for you.I loved it... I laughed and cried and AWE`d.
Until the final scene... it was too much and destroyed the wholesome feeling.
She swallows and squirts in her first makeout night? C´mon...
