VN KN Ren'Py Siren Song [v0.3.2][Jonesy]

This is one of the most wholesome avn´s i have ever played.
Just pray it doesn't pull a New Years Day(e). Jonesy can get f'n dark out of no where.

I get why you'd think that. NYD definitely got dark really fast. It's become a very polarizing VN, for sure. In a way, the characters in CE and NYD are almost like superheroes. While I tried to make the characters relatable and somewhat believable, at the end of the day, it's all very unrealistic to me (Not that it's a bad thing). And superheroes need a supervillain. So, I provided one. Also, I've never written anything before and I'm still learning how to write. So, I tried something that may or may not turn out to blow up in my face if I can't bring it back - we'll see.

As far as Siren Song goes, all I can say is that I have no intention of taking this story in the same direction. I toured with bands for over fifteen years of my younger life. If I can't find enough story fodder within all my memories without relying on the same terrible types of events depicted in NYD, then there's something wrong with me. Well, something ELSE wrong with me, anyway.

Make sense.. writing is.. "fun" ;)
My only suggestion is to spend time consuming material on writing (movies/books/videos.. VNs are a bit of all 3) when you can. YouTube videos are a great resource for this since there are so many writers on there. Setting up audience expectations at the start is an important lessons I learned that way.

Nothing wrong with dark stories as long as the audience is expecting it but if your initial setup is all happy/low drama then people will get very upset when things suddenly shift without warning. Imagine you're watching John Wick 5 and 1/4 of the way through he decides to put his guns away and start a dog walking business with his new female neighbor and OMG when did my action flick turn into a romcom?!? :D

His stories are already bait and switch as it is. You aren't suppose to notice or mention it though.

Very good game, with excellent graphics and story. The update has plenty of story content. Good job by the developer.

wow! I loved it. I loved the story, the characters, the designs... beautiful, great work! I will be attentive to the next update...

I loved it... I laughed and cried and AWE`d.
Until the final scene... it was too much and destroyed the wholesome feeling.
She swallows and squirts in her first makeout night? C´mon...

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it overall, even if the ending ruined the "wholesome" vibe for you.
All I can say is,
She did say that she had seen some pornos and stuff before, so she probably knew she was more or less expected to swallow. As far as her squirting, she may or may not realize she did that.
Anyway, I hope it didn't completely ruin the entire story for you. I promise there will be many more "wholesome" adventures to be had in the future.

I've enjoyed Christmas Eve very much and currently into New Years Daye and checked Siren Song yesterday, Update was great - it's getting intense between Charlotte and her Dad and i'm curious why her Mom called. Sitting on hot Coals how it continues, keep it up☺️

Calling all Musicians!

We're gonna do a small contest.

The idea is for people to submit music/singing accompaniment for the lyrics to the songs "My Little Hummingbird" and/or "Accidentally On Purpose". The lyrics for both songs can be found in Siren Song Chapter 2.

I will accept applications for submitting music until the end of August. Send all applications to JonesyStories@gmail.com. An application can just be like "Hey Jonesy, I wanna do "Hummingbird"" or something similar. Please include your name, some way to contact you electronically, and which song(s) you'd like to do. PLEASE DO NOT POST APPLICATIONS IN THE COMMENTS OF THIS POST. But feel free to leave any questions in the comments.

The deadline for the actual submissions will be September 30, 2024.After all submissions are in, I will let my top two tiers ($10/$25) of Patreon and Subscribestar supporters vote for their favorite. The winning songs will be put into the game and your name/band name will appear in the credits as the performer(s) of the song(s). (After winning, you will be required to sign a release form granting me permission to use this music in my game.) The initial submission doesn't have to be a fancy studio-level recording, but it does need to be in a common audio format (.mp3, .wav, .ogg, etc) and of a decent sound quality. A phone video/audio would be fine at first - then maybe polish it up with GarageBand or whatever later.

As far as tone/feel goes, when I wrote the lyrics to "Hummingbird" I kinda had a few different songs in my head, but mainly "I'm on Fire" by Bruce Springsteen and "Way Over Yonder" by Billy Bragg and Wilco, more for the feel and rhythm than anything else. "Accidentally" similarly had influences from a bunch of different songs/artists, but I mainly drew inspiration from "The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert. You don't have to use either of these as inspiration, (in fact I'd love to know what type of song you heard in your head while reading the words) I just want you to know where my head was when I wrote the lyrics.

Other than that, I'd love to hear what you come up with. Just upload your song to a Google Drive or something similar and send a link to JonesyStories@gmail.com.

Thanks, and I hope to hear some Siren Songs soon!

Its a short game at the moment but definitely one to watch if this is your genre. Graphics are excellent and story is engaging.

Hey Everyone!

While I'm still busy working on chapter 5 of New Year's Day(e), I haven't stopped thinking about Charlotte (I mean, really. Who could?). I have been dabbling (obsessing over) a little (a lot) with AI generated music and I've actually managed to get it to produce some decent results. With some help from a friend, I decided to create a account where I have posted the first 6 tracks I've created. These will most likely be used in a game in the future, and while a couple of them obviously already are part of Siren Song the others might spring up in other places.

I'm also going to start trying to do a lot more of the ambient background music for my games, so if you'd like me to post that to as well, let me know.

I've got a lot of ideas brewing for chapter 3 and I can't wait to start working on it. For now, it's back to Daye and Eve and the rest of the gang.

Anyway head on over there and check them out. Let me know what you think and if you're feeling generous, throw a dollar or two at me and download the songs you like best.

Thanks again.

Love Y'all!

~ Jonesy
