Only the (few) ones with original music. Games lie Being a Dik have such obnoxious music it completely distracts from the story.

Well-made music can do wonders. I'm not talking about Renpy games tho

Liked some songs from Desert Stalker, it definitaly adds to the experience but if the songs are shitty then just dont bother, Parental love didnt have music and it still is a gem

First thing to do in any game: set the music-preset to 10 percent.

Music can add to the experience used corecly. Hawe experienced the same soundtrack no stop truout gamplay. That gets realy anoying real fast. Music used like they do in the blackhart games is adding to the experience in my mind.

My first action on adult games is to cut any sound/music

Music can add to the gaming experience but is not essential

Frankly, IDC. I'll mute it anyway and I'll play my local music, if I wanna listen to music.

Honestly, I don't much care. Some games have music that perfectly fits the story, Like Desert Stalker or City of Broken Dreamers. But most of them have some annoying pop-music tracks in the background, so I'd rather play silent or put on my own music.

Music turned off, voices turned off, only sound effects are turned on. Generally the music is terrible. Also especially the 'western' visual novel assortment of voice actresses seems to be the same fat sounding white chick or a chain smoking gilf. Al though a lot of people here dislike Japanese VN's, the industry there is far and ahead and more acceptable. Why I reference this is because their voice actresses are mostly fitting to the characters disposition, whilst 'western' again sound awful and a complete turn off. I'm not sure the english vn's will ever have the willingness of aspiring VA's to work on any lewd games. Maybe if the 'english anime' style succumbs to the ecchi harem thropes it would be easier to transition, venturing in the rabbit hole of VN's. But I don't see that ever happen, unfortunatly.
Your response is all that needs to be said on the topic. :geek:

No. I always mute and it wastes space.

I am considering adding more music to my next game. I do feel a lot of people just mute the sounds so I am not sure if it is really worth the effort.

I answered with sometimes, but honestly it very rarely fits. I also usually end up muting the games if something else is going on in my house

If i open a game and it starts playing music i instantly mute it.
I try to keep SFX on but most games that have them have some really bad ones so idk

Now it occurred to me that in Heroes of Might and Magic, Diablo, Fallout (especially Fallout NV and Fallout 4) music for some reason I didn't want to turn off:)
