you have to set expectations if you hold off on the sex scenes in a porn game most people wont stick around

I think you need a hook to get more people into a story and a sex scene came do that for you but it depends on what kind of story your making

Build up is needed, but if there isn't something enticing in the first version, idk if I should be trusting the dev for the game to eventually have interesting sex scenes.

It depends on the type of game, if the story is the focus then the sex can come whenever is best.

I don't think every game update needs a sex scene, but if we're expected to wait, there better be a really good payoff.

I personally don't think it needs to be every update. as long as the update revolves more building connection with the MC and love interest(s). Else it would just feel like a sex only game. I mean nothing wrong with that. But story above all for me. Need that pacing ya know

Put the scene at the beginning and after it no longer serves any purpose, move it to the extras.

I think it should be part of the story, like the build up

Maybe not the first couple, but once it's to the 3rd it's like "come on." And that means penetrative, not something ending in "job." If it goes like 8+ the game is shit.

It really depends on if it is a good story or is the only reason to play in the lewd scenes.
Really good games don´t need sex scenes in every update.

Maybe not sex scenes every update, but at least some teasing or lewd scenes

I like an early teasing scene with a main character rather than sex scene - something as small as a glimpse of something that you shouldn't have got

Should a game have a sex scene starting from version 0.1? Or, should the Dev hold off until the scene feels like part of the story?

I've noticed that in games where the story is more of a slow burn, the Dev might include a throw-away sex scene in versions 0.2 or 0.3.
Sometimes it's a character that was introduced only for the sex scene and just in time for the scene. Sometimes it's a daydream about a random character you might not see again.
I understand that the Devs feel pressured to give something since (usually) people are paying for the games and don't want to pay for no payout.
If it feels forced, then it feels like it undercuts the story.
So, my question: Should the sex scenes wait until they feel part of the story even if that could take a few updates?
Or, do you not mind a sex scene that doesn't necessarily feel like part of the story itself?
Highly depends on the context and the story. Do you have a harem like in Desert Stalker? You bet your ass your girls better be paying tribute to you. On the other hand if you have Strangers on Paper, I frankly don't care if there is never a sex scene, I'm fully invested in the dude and I want him to find happiness. The writing is just that good. There are other games that try way to hard to stick you in sexual situations with your corruption target right off the bat. I kinda just roll my eyes now at those, like the mandatory "falls on your face while she's wearing a skirt," or the "mandatory let's go buy clothes scene while I perv on you in the dressing room," or the my favourite, "ooh daddy's asleep on the couch, let's jack him off even though I have no idea what it means. Ew it made white goop!.... let's taste it." Because THAT happens...

Give me the slow burn where it takes a little bit to get into it, but if you give me that validates my patience, then I'll download every update.

Unless the story is VERY interesting (The DeLuca Family just to name an example), it should be every update

From a game pace perspective, you should absolutley have some buildup chapters without hanky-panky, but from a dev standpoint your first public release should probably have something, even if that means waiting till what would otherwise be a .3 or .5 version.
