discussion Sex or story?

Hi guys,
First post, long time on/off lurker.
I've been messing with Daz and Renpy for a while now and decided to try making my own VN.
It was going ok, learning a lot but my first attempt quickly turned into a fuck-fest with almost every scene ending up with the MC
having sex, which is fine but the story was minimal at best, made little sense and was all over the place...Ok, lesson learned, start over.

Now I've come up with a decent story, but there isn't a lot of sex scenes during the first few days as I try to establish the characters and move the story along at a decent pace. So I've gone from one extreme to the other...which brings me to my question..

Which is more important? A decent story or lot's of sex?
Another question I have is once you, as the MC, have had sex with a character are you still interested in having further sexual interactions with that character? or is it all about the first time?

I get that everyone will have their own preferences, just curious what the majority thinks.

Story over sex. A good lead up to sex can be better than the sex itself. Half of the reason for all of these tags is because the narrative element in sex is so powerful that even when, we strip sex down to just tits and dick people still want some kind of plot leading up to why two people are having sex.

Mostly sex... But, if it's something like Third Crisis, I'm choosing the story.

Both yes, but if I had to choose one, it really depends. For jacking off, sex is more important than story. To keep me more than 1 hr in same game, the story better be amazing (and some AVNs are just that good))

Of course the obvious answer is "Both"

However, you can get away with having one of them if your content is different.

I mean there are a lot of titles with similar content. You shouldn't walk the beaten path. Try to explore new areas instead.

Any sex is hollow without a story, so I value a good narrative over a good pussy any day.

(Probably why the irl dating scene is so difficult as well. The story sucks ass.)

its gotta have a good story. mindless sex we can go to other sites for that kinda content. sure its gotta have a decent amout of sex to keep it fun. oh and keeping your NPCs around im a greedy MF i want them all haha jk but yeah theres always more fun to have then just a quicky. mindless sex games can get real boring real fast

There is always a little of need for story between sex scenes i believe to spice even more.
