Are you using any type of blocker like ad blocker - ghostery - stands or any other type of blocker to prevent pop ups? Anon like some other file hosts have pop ups when you click on the download button but if your using a blocker it'll prevent them as some of the files you download are not actually the file but whatever pop file you started downloading.

I'm not using an ad blocker. I've succeeded in using file before, but this time I didn't progress to any adds or anything. MacAfee just stopped the process before it got there and stated it had detected a virus, so I closed the window.

You are 100% clicking on an ad to download instead of the actual download link. Ive seen this happen many times, but never for someone with an adblocker.

Me either, but I have seen videos of people who have. Lots of sites that use anon have gifs or short videos showing you how NOT to do it because those ads often try to look like the download link to trick you.
