First ATF, now Roriwalrus is in trouble, it's like things are just falling down one after the other by something

Dang, I just found about this site because of the AFT purge just to hear its also coincidentally down at the same time. Its all going downhill it seems

They were having issues with their site just before A.T.F. went down... when the flood of users came in it started to crawl. Wouldn't surprise me if their database crumbled under the weight and they are trying to rebuild it. Just speculation.

do yall just hop into a thread and not read, its a DNS issue that you can fix by editing a host file. they are working on fixing that but you can connect. read up the thread for details on how

This is very bad, I hope they come back, because if this trend of closing sites continues, we will have no places left with shotacon content.

Still down, I don't have ATF account too and I can't follow up the progress of the site or the trouble itself. Anyone got any idea?

It's just DNS. Someone probably got too upset about it existing and mass reported it to registrar.
Somewhat weird it doesn't have backup TOR address.

Does Roriwalrus have the backup ATF mods?
I've been looking for a few mods for Sand Land, but I can't find any :(

so, any other other alternatives that have a roleplaying section

You can get around the DNS issue (for now) by adding the following line to your hosts file:
Code:
104.21.77.239 roriwalrus.com www.roriwalrus.com

File paths are as follows:
  • Windows: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
  • Linux: /etc/hosts
  • Mac: /private/etc/hosts
In all cases, it's a plain text file with no file extension, but you might need to open it with elevated rights (Administrator/root).
If you can’t access the site, please try the method suggested by "JGNeon" above again.
It worked for me.

Open Notepad (or a similar program) as an administrator and add the following line at the bottom:

104.21.77.239 roriwalrus.com

Make sure to back it up first, and do this at your own risk.

Also run "cmd" as administrator and type the following: "ipconfig /flushdns" without "" and hit enter.
I had to at least.

That actually worked.
Maybe someone could explain to a blockhead like me how you come up with a solution like that?

It's an old method of directing addresses. You can even block entire parts of the internet or make things go nowhere or in a loop. Your machine has an ip of 127.0.0.1 (loopback). Back in the day we had to modify it with early dialup internet because DNS wasn't always reliable. Almost nothing uses it these days except some VPN's. There are far more secure methods now.

Is there any way to do this on android
Yes. You need to install the third party app Adaway.

Download and install Adaway from FDroid or from adaway.org
Choose VPN path.
Select Redirect(upper right)
Add two items to the list.
roriwalrus.com
104.21.77.239

104.21.77.239

Apply.

You should be able to access the site on all browsers.

Has anyone seen the site using this trick? Are things even being uploaded anymore or it's all read only? I would see it for myself but editing System32 files gives me bad nighmares

Still doesn't work

Thank you for the instructions! This instantly worked like a charm! As you mentioned, I did need to choose 'Run as administrator' when I started Notepad (otherwise it wouldn't let me save/overwrite the hosts file). I just added the two lines:
104.21.77.239 roriwalrus.com
104.21.77.239

Still doesn't work
Did you flush your DNS cache?
I saw this in ATF and it might help, its the same process but there's more after 5 that maybe you didn't try
1. Close your browsers.
2. Paste this into your Explorer search field (folder): C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
3. Open the "hosts" file with right mouse click → Notepad, not "Editor", get Notepad. If you're scared → copy/paste the "hosts" file to your desktop for later use.

4. Type this into the file (see screenshot). DO NOT AD "#".
5. Close and save; it'll ask for admin rights. Accept.
6. Hit the Windows key and type in "command" without "".
7. Paste "ipconfig /flushdns" in the command field and hit enter without "". It'll say "your cache was cleared" depending on your native language.
5. Open your browser. Done.
Try restarting the PC too, maybe something is stopping you
If that doesn't help i have no other idea
