discussion Romance vs corruption

I usually just go corruption, seems to have the most fun subplots but some games the corruption system is straight up evil so I have to load a previous save and go the romance route.

I very rarely choose corruption. Usually a game forces me into that choice. I often don't keep it after that forced corruption.

It really depends on the characters if their personality aligns with what makes them attractive or best to play.

It depends on the game, but mostly romance, unless it blocks all the content.

I mostly play harem games so the ones that do have this kind of system I'm using both but on different characters.
Generally the LI I'm most interested in I'll play the romantic route.
If an LI is a bitch / uptight / snooty / puritan type character I'll corrupt them.
If a character is very innocent I might go the corruption route as well but that really depends upon how the character is designed.
LI's that have had a hard backstory I'll lean towards romantic.

I tend to go with my feelings on a character to determine what path I'm gonna take.

corruption though its only as good as the dev's imagination. when the most perverted thing you can come up with is a handjob it kinda undermines the whole thing

Want the option, I play both but would play corruption first unless they are like a dick or something. I do prefer a slow corruption tho

Always corruption for me, given the option. It's one of the tags I look for that can be sufficient for me to try the game. I won't shy away from the romance tag, but it will need some other compelling tags to catch my attention. Which is rare for a romance-only game.

Corruption has the better scenes in most games. The only game where I actively preferred the love path was Friends in Need. Ashe's love scene is so, so much better than her corruption scene.

When a game has a lot of different scenes for both, I generally go neutral the normal gameplay, and after I just hold ctrl, for the other 2 routes just to see the difference

Romance for me. 'Corruption' paths usually reek of male insecurity and 'alpha/sigma' mentality.
