Replay gallery is a good feature to have, even if it's just static images. I typically use them has checklists to make sure I haven't missed any content, especially when there are branching storylines. Not having a checklist makes me paranoid that I missed a scene or something.

IMO a replay gallery should be damn near mandatory.
ESPECIALLY if you have multiple routes in a game.

Yea, I think every game should have a replay gallery. There is no point in not adding it

it totally should always have, i think some don't because they forget to add at the start of development, and it normally is really hard to program a new system like that if you don't plan for it. just a theory of mine

Depends on the engine. Something like RenPy its INCREDIBLY easy. There are even tools that do it for you

I like Gallery because it makes you sure that every path of the game is done. It's just an option to use it.

galleries are pretty essential particulary in multiple route games

The only reason I'm interested in galleries is to find out which episodes I missed during the game. Revisiting individual scenes is not for me. It's just that I'm not personally interested in it.
