Recommend me a tv series to watch.

For a drama: Band of Brothers, great WW2 mini series set in the Western Front campaign
For a comedy: Mystery Science Theater 3000, guy gets trapped in space and is forced to watch bad movies so he builds robot friends to keep his sanity and watch the movies with him

If you're leaning more toward sci-fi and drama, I'd also recommend Severance — unsettling but really well written, and Dark, which is probably one of the best time-travel stories ever put on screen. The Expanse is another strong one — dense, political, and grounded space sci-fi.
Plenty there to keep boredom in check for a while. :coffee:

I didn't read through all the posts, but did anyone mention Lexx.

FUBAR... Arnold does TV. Its an action type show with CIA guys shooting bad guys. And if you have the capabilities..."The Boys" superheroes with problems... :)

Criminal Minds is a pretty good longer drama cop show.
If you can handle another language and want some quick action porn Bloodhounds is a Korean action drama only 8 eps though.
An older sci fi show i have been getting back into is Falling Skies.

I went through the thread and didn't see so forgive me if someone mentioned it and I missed it but Resident Alien is a good scifi comedy.

  • Bodies -
  • Dark Matter -
  • Evil -
  • Fallout -
  • Foundation -
  • From -
  • His Dark Materials -
  • Inside No 9 -
  • Lost in Space -
  • Manifest -

  • Revival -
  • See -
  • Silo -
  • Devil's Hour -

Band of brothers is great but god damn its heavy at times

Chernobyl. It's a helluva ride all the way through.

Also, Downton Abbey. It's not a chick show there is a huge amount of adult content in there wrapped around a period piece all shown on PBS with gorgeous scenery and astounding writing.

Lonesome Dove is a Western mini-series that is worth a watch

Shameless, Breaking Bad, Supernatural. Also, not watching anime is a real shame — Rick and Morty is genuinely great.

1967's The Prisoner. It was so far ahead of its time that it was basically the prototype for what modern televisions shows became in the 2010s. God, it is so good.

The handmaid's tale is one that made me reflect a lot. It's not an easy watch but I personally love it. If you like dystopia that's a good one.

Shogun on Disney+ great drama and a bit more recent.

Second Silo on Apple great show s3 just released

Star Trek:Strange New Worlds is the best of the new treks in a long while, got a few seasons now

Can strongly recommend Schitt's Creek. It's the kind of awkward quiety humor I don't usually like, but it kind of builds, by the end I'm tearing up at weddings and laughing my ass off at deadpan deliveries. They did a really good job building up the family's relationships building up humor.

Farscape, as has been recommended, is god-tier sci-fi. Lexx (or LEXX: The Dark Zone Stories and Tales from a Parallel Universe) if you want sci-fi and weird (alternate shadow universe, a sex slave genetically infused with death worm DNA, a horny robot head, a giant bug that blows up moons as a starship, a dead assassin, and awful early-Dr.Who seriousness in delivery... its weird and I love it)
