Reasons you will not play a game and not because of a tags (regardless of if it has one you do not want or is missing one you do).

I tend to also avoid the ones that have the large 8 bit maps that require you to move through a bunch of areas to get stuff done. Not always but they tend to be too grindy to bother with

Bad story... preachy... false advertising... Manipulation outside the game (manipulation in game is fine)... Hi Emi is one of the worst culprits IMO.

Lag. Some games just require too much from my setup

I've found myself passing on games because of a lack of character development or unengaging storylines, even if they have all the tags I'm typically interested in.

The engine, if the game is running in rpg wolf or unity, I'm out.

I only play games in wich I find the mc( or when is a fmc, the male npcs) attractive, I like when everyone involved on the sex is hot

If I see some ugly fucking creatures (human or otherwise) in the pictures near or inside a woman.
No fucking way am I playing an ugly bastard game. Don't care how good everything else is.

If there is even the smallest piece of shit on my food, I will not eat it even if it was made by the best chef in the world.

I can't get behind games made with RPG maker or the like. No shame in them, they just don't appeal the me.

If I like the game visually, I usually give it a chance to interest me. Depending on my mood and the phase of the moon, I can like many games. As for the safety of downloaded games, I just found a site where the admin knows how to check, and I download from there. So far I have not caught a single virus. Well, or at least neither I nor "dr. web cureit" know about it.

Jarring tonal shifts (SUDDENLY, RAPE AND DEPRESSION AND GRIM EDGINESS!). Language barrier. Absurd or outright terrible translations. Disgusting shit. Forced tragedy (fuck Jun Maeda). Fetishization and glorification of suffering. Pretentious nihilism. Pretentious nihilism with tits. Shit that glorifies quietly lying down and dying. Titles being extremely difficult to find. Download sites that are just ad clicker mazes or malware minefields.

Mostly because language barrier. Some other times grind. With few exceptions.

Games made in rpgmaker are usually a no for me, as are web and mobile only games.

If i see unrealistically proportioned characters I can't engage in the game. Or games who differentiate a 20 something, 30 something and 40 something only by increasingly large tits. Or if the MC is unattractive, or pulls too many stupid faces. Or if the characters trachea swells when taking a blowjob, I can't see how this would be fun and what if he gets stuck?

Anyone else see a game you haven't played, liked the artwork, thought the story might be decent so you get it. You install, you open the folder double click the appl and then..... woot a blue box from windows with a button that reads "Don't Run". So many decent looking games I have deleted because of that. Even if it was a false positive and safe to run having that pop up every time you run a game is annoying. Anyone else have this issue or one like it? Seen several promising games that i will not try again for awhile simply because of that.

This message is related to the protection that Microsoft applies to its Operating System by blocking executable files from other computers, thus applying an additional layer of security to your operating system.
It's hard to believe that any developer would pay for Microsoft certification.

And this warning is completely random; it appears on some machines and not on others.

As a programmer, this message appears constantly when I switch systems for testing.

Regarding what makes you abandon the game and when the game gives you an option and then doesn't respect it, it really irritates me.

honestly, biggest one is just anything that won't run on my computer lol. it's a shaggy little Linux thinkpad barely able to run any Windows game through proton, and anything that doesn't put any effort into optimization gets really tough to play, and i just lose patience. and you'll be surprised at what kinda things get it chugging: about half of all RPGMaker games have such horrible performance, meanwhile the other half runs just fine, some specific Renpy games can take minutes to load, and don't even get me started on Unity games lol
