Reasons you will not play a game and not because of a tags (regardless of if it has one you do not want or is missing one you do).

Anyone else see a game you haven't played, liked the artwork, thought the story might be decent so you get it. You install, you open the folder double click the appl and then..... woot a blue box from windows with a button that reads "Don't Run". So many decent looking games I have deleted because of that. Even if it was a false positive and safe to run having that pop up every time you run a game is annoying. Anyone else have this issue or one like it? Seen several promising games that i will not try again for awhile simply because of that.

Most of the time that's a false positive (and if it's the blue box I'm thinking of Windows isn't actually saying "don't run this", it's saying "I don't know who made this") and there's no need to delete the game for it. Doesn't usually repeat either, at least for me it may pop up the first time I run a game but not when I open the game again later.

I know, but it is annoying and i hate having to do it all the time, so i just delete them.... just something annoying that stops me from playing a game

there were games i deleted solely for the lack of a gallery in the main menu 😥

I do not run the exe's that come with the games. I use renpy to run the games code .. not certain protection against malware but it does reduce some avenues.

RPGM games just rub me the wrong way.

I just checkout after the first hour.

Yeah, that's only happened to me a few times. When it does, I always try to find a solution first—like checking forums, verifying the file, or seeing if there's a patch or update that fixes it. I usually don’t give up right away, but if there’s no way around it or the warning keeps popping up every time I launch the game, then yeah, I end up uninstalling it too. It’s definitely annoying.

My main dropout reason is when a game starts with a good paced visual novel and suddenly of nowhere I get slapped in the face with a change to a slow paced sandbox grind game. And yes, I'm talking with you The Sin Within

I've gotten pretty used to the don't run warning so that doesn't really turn me off a game like it used to (though I'll still skim through the form to see if anyone is reporting viruses). For me, an unlikeable main character (as in, one that's unlikeable outside of the player's ability to control) will get me to drop a game the fastest, because I know I'll be stuck with them the entire game.

Many antivirus programs throw false positives. If you are concerned, scan the file before you unzip it. Most of the time it doesn’t find anything.

I know i do that, but it is annoying so that is why i don't play those, some people won't play a game because it is in rpgm, or because it is a side scroller, or made with honey select etc, again asking what other peoples reasons for not playing a game are, not asking what the blue box is.

For me, Witcher 3 is a game I will not play. Not because of anything in particular; I just remember loathing combat in 1 and 2

if games are too grindy I just don't have the time for them. but some work and reward is cool i guess. I don't know balance is weird

The grind is a big turn-off for me as well, not a fan of continually clicking through the MC doing the same repetitive task over and over again to watch a number go up.
It's like a job except there's a chance you might get to see some tits at the end.

I recently had a go at Big Hiro 6…. All was swimming (aunty is hawt!) until first RPGM combat…
