When I wasn't paying attention, I earned a higher reading score. When I started actually trying to read for score, I didn't get any.

Yes, you need to read slowly.

Doesn't it take ages to get enough LewdCoins (LC) to be able to unlock Members+? Based on my own progress and reading the relevant threads about earning coins through likes, threads, etc, I feel like just trying to earn the LC will automatically push up your reading and posting score past the required threshold before you get anywhere enough LC to be able to buy members +.

Without strain (I wasn't trying to gain access to the + section, but do I need to spend coins on something?) it took me about 15 days. I repeat, effortlessly.
