Proud Father (Off-Topic)

I have not heard of any state law prohibiting CG content (Loli or adult). And in West's case, ALL of the characters were 18 years or older (although the user could change the age to under 18.)
Their qualifications is not based on 'proclaimed age', merely looking like. I'm pretty sure small boobs in porn is also banned there for similar reasons.

yes petites are illegal there. If your wife has A cups you're going to horny jail for abusing children.
Their law is "If it feels like it is illegal, it is illegal". Long post tho aobut it

I was a supporter for Westly for a long time, Loved his game ngl.
Has anybody heard anything about him? Like anything anything?
After AU gov got mad because of some pixels i haven't heard anything tho i don't know him personally i was a bit sad he got this treatment.
His next court hearing is April 9th, I will let you all know what happening to him.

This case wont help Westy at all Now we have another example of how the law in Australia treats AI

Thanks Feral, appreciate it.

Fingers crossed that Westy comes out the other side without too much trouble...

“Child abuse material, is still child abuse material, no matter what form it takes,” Det. Sgt Hardcastle said.

“People may not be aware that online simulations, fantasy, text-based stories, animations and cartoons, including artificial intelligence-generated content depicting child sexual abuse are all still considered child abuse material under Commonwealth legislation.
Yeah the same is true for most of europe and canadia. kinda insane.

The rise of censorship on the internet is definately concerning and i lately lost my faith in freedom because of it.
Rather than investing the amount of manpower into stopping real human trafficing they protect pixels... Embarassing.
Its not only the internet thats getting more and more slapped on with censorship imo

I clicked into the thread to catch up on things and this is the first post I read and it seemed very extreme. So I've followed the link and it reads essentially if they look underage it is illegal, so in theory if it is a small breasted grandma it is fine as they would look older, but if they are in their twenties and are short likely it is illegal.
So it is not out right banned, but essentially it is attacking anyone in the adult industry for having a A cup and looks young.

I feel like this would be something that would have a loop hole, but it seems even if there is a potential loop hole they may have left things vague enough that it likely isn't even worth trying to fight about it.

These types of laws almost make it so that the real thing is the "better" thing than the pixel version. Is that what they want? Same thing with the so called hate crime laws that criminalize thought or words - if the words get the a harsher punishment than actions, why not just bash some heads in without saying anything? So backwards.

he's prob fked. can't imagine winning any court case on that.

The truly fucked-up thing, is that there are laws in place that don't separate actual child abuse (and sexualization of real children) from the sexualization of very-obviously fictional underage girls. The laws can't be changed, either. Those who'd attempt to change the laws could be seen (in the public's eye) as child molesters themselves. And what frustrates me even more, is that the same "logic" doesn't apply to murders/violence vs. fictional murders/violence, since that seems to be just fine. Meaning, you can't defend a ****phile or try to separate ****philes into subcategories (loli, hebe, etc) without making you yourself sound like a ****phile.

Back on topic, though: In the headlines I've seen, Westy is painted as a child molestation crime ring leader, but without any actual victims. All the "victims" are computer generated, and do not resemble any actual (underage) girls. That is, assuming Westy didn't have more than just the stuff from Proud Father on any of his devices (as in, stuff depicting actual children).

If Westy had any real life child abuse material, we would have heard about it by now. Anyone caught with real ** gets plastered all over the media, tv, newspapers etc. Westy on the other hand was really only mentioned in his local paper. The reason he was described by cops as being a crime lord is because he made an illegal game that he uploaded to the internet and made money from it

Grand theft Auto is illegal to buy in Australia, due to its violent content but not illegal to download and play. Porn isn`t the only thing banned in Australia, violent computer games are also banned. We get around that by LEGALY downloading them

The most significant Australian landform being Ayers Rock is a testament to their government-mandated adherence to making mountains out of molehills.
Ayers Rock is a lot like the federal capital. Both are in the middle of nowhere and most Aussies avoid going anywhere near them

Man, this kinda on purpose, maliciously vague laws are such bs.
