Didn't this all start at an airport? I read.....somebody got in trouble at an airport and got their
laptop confiscated, and they found the game Proud Father on it, and that is how this all
started.


But they confiscated everything at his house, including toys and a pinball machine,
I think he had a pool table and they took that to. They call this evidence,
it's basically a snatch and grab where they take all your stuff and keep it for
themselves. Like say someone is raided for selling cocaine and he owns
a 400K Ferrari 812 GTS, the next thing you know the chief has
himself a new car.

All they have to do is find a way to attribute the persons property as coming from the proceeds of crime. If the person has no other job and gets money from something illegal, it's very easy for them to take everything.

Well, what do you want? Australia - the only way to leave there is by plane or by boat - not everyone can afford it.
That is, in essence, people there are locked up like sardines in a barrel - you can conduct various experiments on them and people cannot escape anywhere.

If the last part is true, it is deserved. You can always argue about the fictional stuff and the 140k files were clearly renders and things like that, but the other real files are sickening.

Oh I didn't know anything about that last part. Well if that is true then yea, he 100% deserves to be in prison. I am all for freedom when it comes to fictional content but when you start dealing with the real stuff then you should be punished.

I've binge watching this thread, both as I like the game and I'm interested (curious) in Westy's fate.

1. In one country one plot is considered a crime, and in another country it's not (or around many corners)
   Just have a look at the abortion rules in some countries. Some Countries allow it. Some only if the pregnancy is caused by a crime. Some Countries consider every abortion as murder against the unborn child.
2. Even it is a crime, the punishment might be very different.
   Some countries punish drug dealing with suspended sentences, other use the death sentence.

I don't think that pixels can harm any children.
I think that the upcoming POTUS will harm both the U.S. and the rest of the world. For this I'm a foreigner, so my opinion can be quite wrong.
I grew up in Germany, it's part of it history, and Germany would loose, if it would lower the laws.
There is no time like the present. 30 years are not "present".
Maybe this is the only way to keep the people and tourists in line.

The various Aboriginal groups arrived a lot earlier than us but they are not native, nor are they all related. Some look more Tamil, where as the ones in Northern Queensland are related to Pacific Islanders and from Papua New Guinea. The Brits set up Australia as a Penal Colony, after they got kicked out of America. 200 years ago, being a crim got you sent to Australia. These days, if you have a serious crim history, you wont be allowed in. 1868 was the last Official convict transport ship to Australia.

Turns out that W has not been sentenced yet. According to the latest he will be sentenced in Feburary next year. He is still in jail on remand. Yes its been confirmed he had 577 files involving real children as well as filming 3 young females without their knowledge

Why would they need to plant evidence when W, himself was openly selling an illegal game and making money off it. He made just under 1 million dollars in Aus currency in 3 years. Well, that's kinda exactly what you'd expect if there were an ongoing investigation uncovering more crimes, no?

If we play devil's advocate and assume this is entirely a case of law enforcement making up anything they can to nail him, why on earth would they start with the most minor thing (the game) and only gradually build up to the stuff no one could sympathize with (the images of real children)? Any halfway intelligent framejob would go straight to the worst thing and tack on the lesser stuff as an afterthought.
