Updates so far for this week
This thread will serve as this week's patch notes so far for LewdCorner.
Below is a breakdown of what has been worked on, what is being tested, and what is changing moving forward.
Contents
Python Bots
I was originally looking for a Python developer, but in the end I decided to pick up a book and start learning Python myself.
Since then, I have managed to put together two bots for LewdCorner:
- Post Bot
- Image Repair Bot
Post Bot
The Post Bot has already been tested in the Games section testing ground so it does not clutter up the real game sections.
Right now, the bot is able to create new game threads. However, in its current state, it can still make a new thread even if that game already exists on LewdCorner.
That will be changing.
The next major logic change will make the bot search LewdCorner first. If it finds that the game already exists here, and it detects a higher version elsewhere, it will update the existing LewdCorner thread instead of creating a duplicate thread.
Image Repair Bot
The Image Repair Bot is currently about 95% complete and is now in the testing phase. Once that testing is done and everything checks out, it should help a lot with fixing image-related issues faster and with less manual work.
Uploader Activity Page
I have also redesigned and rebuilt the original uploader activity page that was lost during the server switch.
Unfortunately, that page got nuked during the move and was never backed up, so it had to be remade from scratch.
This new version is designed to give staff a much clearer view of who is active and who is not active.
On top of that, I will be introducing a weekly uploader quota. The exact numbers are still being decided, but they will vary depending on uploader tier, such as:
- Jr Uploader
- Uploader
- Sr Uploader
- Lead Uploader
The goal here is simple: activity will matter.
If an uploader drops below the required level of activity, they may be demoted to a lower uploader rank. That also means they will lose the perks tied to that uploader position. I am still working on the full perk structure for uploader ranks, so more on that later.
If somebody falls through all uploader ranks entirely, they will be fully demoted from the uploader team.
Discorner
As for LewdCord, the Discord alternative project, I am pretty sure I am going to rename it to Discorner instead.
The reason is simple: Discorner sounds far more SFW-friendly as a name while still fitting the site.
The software itself is almost done, but there are still a few bugs left that have been an absolute pain to deal with. Even so, I will get them figured out. The project is still moving forward.
Casino
On the casino side of things, I have currently disabled Roulette and Slots until further notice.
Both games need logic adjustments and cleanup to make sure they are actually working the way they are intended to work before they go live again.
I am also working on a free daily Members+ wheel spin.
The current reward pool I am planning includes things such as:
- Random amounts of Activity Coins
- Random amounts of Activity Coins 2.0 up to 350
- Donation Coins up to 30
- Monthly Donator status as a rarer reward
This will be a daily free spin for Members+, and once finished it should add a solid extra reward feature for members.
RelayUpload
RelayUpload is not technically part of LewdCorner, but I still wanted to include it here since I own it and it is relevant to many of our users, uploaders, and honestly anyone on any site who wants to use it.
It is now completely free to use with:
- No membership required
- No lockouts
- Open access for everyone
I also fixed the upload issues it had been having over the past few days, so it should be in a much better state now.
Closing Notes
That is all the news I have so far regarding current LewdCorner updates.
There is still more being worked on behind the scenes, but these are the main things I wanted to share for now.
