That depends on what the game is about, but in most cases it's not that interesting, at least for me.

I don't particularly like or dislike it, in most i have played, as a goblin or something, it wouldn't have made a big difference to me if the MC was a human instead.

Ravager is the only one i can think of. And I half enjoyed it. The art changed too much, and it felt messy. I also kinda lost touch with the protag, which might be because he is a dragon.

I do like it, but depends on the genre.

Good examples I like are games like Swallow, Female Offerings are Spirited Away, basically any game from Bakery.
