I like the concept, and it could be liberating as with most speculative fiction to abandon constraints (be it gender, appearance or stereotypes). However, I've not seen any one yet that for me really pushes those boundaries (perhaps superhuman )...
This (various furry, monster girl, goblins, tentacles etc.) is one of the main reasons why I will never download such a game. I'm just not interested in it, and the different furries in general cause persistent disgust.
Are wildly exaggerated girls non-humanoid? Not the curvy milfs, etc, but those blow up doll types.
Love at First Tail is a pretty good example of characters that are not designed to be human, but have somewhat attractive human body types and the story line is pretty much the same as most of the corrupting VNs. I would rate this game higher than some of the games with all human characters with bad stories and artwork, if it had less grind.
I like the ones where you are the dog. However I've never seen one where the dog succeeds in getting their chosen girls pregnant. nor one where a fellow dog (bitch) is available to breed. I mean, one dog girl from a human is probably better than a litter of pups.
For me it completely depends on the story, I don't mind most things as MC whether it be non-humanoid or anything else as long as the game itself is good through story/gameplay etc.
Ravager is amazing, and being a dragon is a large part of why it amazing. I'd love some more good examples of the non-humanoid protagonist category, but I'm not aware of any. I tried "Man's Best Friend", where you play as a dog. The initial idea was good, the renders too, but the story telling was just terrible. "Mothers' Village" seems to be a more recent entry of the same kind (dog protagonist ruined by terrible story telling). I came across a demo for a game where you play as a thing-like alien a while ago, but that game was abandoned before it even really started.
