so apollo checked cloudflare and apparently it had also something to do with it from the DNS, i am not entirely sure why that happened, but i am just thankful the site is operational again.

There definitely was a DNS issue. Your A record was missing on Cloudflare. The zone was there, you had SOA and everything but no A. So somehow that was removed.

I did math, so I used the bank. As per another post, it cost me the same time as watching 1/3 of a Tic Toc video per day. That's it. I'm not top, but I'm not hurting for LC either.

The people who weren’t posting, making profile pictures, etc., BEFORE, well, after the rules hit, they pretty much did it for the carrot.
So, you gotta know that, right? Some (many? Most?) people that will follow your new rules just want the carrot.

ill be 100% blunt, we are not entirely sure what happened, reasoning for this is because apollo was working and testing post functions on a (testing ground) section of lewdcorner for the post bot to post games, when he was testing that i was uploading (at the time i thought was a addon for xenforo 2x but it was infect for xenforo 1x, im not sure if you all know but you can not and should not use 1x addons for 2x version of xenforo, it will literally brick your site, but then when we rolled it back it still wasnt working, so apollo checked cloudflare and apparently it had also something to do with it from the DNS, i am not entirely sure why that happened, but i am just thankful the site is operational again.


as for what is happening now, look don't worry about credits/bank being removed, i am not removing it, i will however be increasing ac rank prices eventually, and i already decreased the interest from 3% to 0.3% on the bank, the reason i did this was to try to make AC stable again, i want to make cool perks and perks that are hard to obtain from the shop, but if i make something lets say 10k there will be a high percentage of users with said rank/perk, so i think i am going to stabilize the coin, then make a new coin one that one be for ac ranks/perks but one that will be a unique unlock coin.


as for whats going on with like latest updates page, @Apollo is rewriting the entire thing from scratch, i was on the fence of disabling both L/U pages but that would just piss people off and well i truly dont mean to offend people when i do stuff for lewdcorner (for the most part) i still like to fuck around tho thats just who i am.


as for funding lewdcorner, look the launcher was suppose to replace a lot of the issues for funding by making the launcher semi paid for, but it seems like a lot of users rather not have a launcher, which is fine but there still users that would probably use it, but i halted development operations on that to focus directly on lewdcorner itself ie L/U and fixing other things that need to be fixed.



as for the post bot, this is happening like it or not, (i never said i hated sites that scrape lewdcorner) if someone intepreted that then they are fucking stupid and only trying to bad mouth what i actually said, what i said was i hate that people from a different site are coming back to LC and advertising said site, which is grabbing games from lc to there, making lc pointless, you can't stop bots, there is no point to stop it, the bot is most likely written in pytnon and python is adaptable to bypass basically most forms of anti-bots flags, again i spoke to the owner of known site, i have no issues with him, i told that to him and the feelings i am pretty sure are mutual.



now comes the "begging" aspect, site literally needs $100 by the 5th, consider a donation


now comes a thankful for sticking around and sorry you may have lost your rank or credits, look around there is a redeem code that is active till the 2nd, redeem it in the credits system for for coins.

ps. someone suggested a way for mega threads to halt, and thats using Archive Threads addon from xenforo, this will basically make all threads in a specific category archive once that length date hits, i will be testing this on a server that is not lewdcorner.

also going to setup a test server for lewdcorner, also this thread was not written by ai so it may be full of typos and rambling or something like that.

I think you should allow ads to help fund your site. Maybe like those “create your AI girlfriend” ads I see on other sites. Not irritating pop ups - just ads people can choose to click on or not. JMO.

I know it has been on this thread before and I have said it myself in the past but, can you guys please stop with the knee jerk changes that creates so much chaos? And I am not talking about "we cannot make everybody happy" kind of changes.

I don't know if you guys discuss things over in discord but this past 2 weeks are the perfect example on how you shouldn't bring about changes to a site. Bombshell changes one after another and then suddenly you guys realize "yeah we went too far, let's meet at the middle like we should have from the start". And this is not the first time it has happened.

I don't know anything about running a website and I assume it's not easy, so I greatly appreciate the hard work but please discuss things over with a few people outside the echo chamber to see if you are on the right track.

Generally speaking are Donation Coins for temporary ranks and Platinum Coins are for permanent ranks.

Platinum Coins have been a thing for a long time already, close to a year, they are roughly as old as Donation Coins and the renaming from Lewd Coins to Activity Coins.

It used to be 2%. All lowering it to 0.3% does is slow it down ~7x. Still just a waiting game and it still snowballs eventually. Plus alot of people got grandfathered in if they were here since the early days so are sitting on millions (or billions) of coins that they don't really need, since they already have permanent P4 and P5 access with nothing else really useful to buy (and I guess permanent doesn't exist anymore). Sucks for the latecomers I guess, but current setup was probably an attempt to piss the least amount of people off while encouraging more monthly donations (which permanent anything was a bad idea in the long run, relatively huge influx of cash for a month or 2 then mostly nothing, leaving the owner to pay for most of it himself after it dried up in 6-12 months).

Wont happen as at one time it was 1% then changed to 2%. That led to most using the bank to game the coins.

Now the interest is lower and will force members to post and just spam threads but that is still a problem.
