It's good, but unfortunately did the dreaded "rework." so it's been over a year since anything new for those of us who don't replay from the start - though luckily this one old saves are supposed to work (when the don't that far in, it's unforgivable.)

4) The progress from conversation to teasing to full blown sex is too quick. Often there's no paying any heed to the taboo nature of the relationship.

This has been a pet peeve of mine in a lot these games for ages now. You have a good game, great buildup, it is treated as taboo. But as soon as that first sex happens it just turns into a horrible porno and subsequent encounters are just absolutely unhinged.
A very liked game that kind of went overboard with this (This might be a hot take) is Eternum.
The scenes went from kinda mild and vanilla into pure degeneracy.

My biggest peeves with incest games are the following:
1) Not treated like a taboo enough: if this is set in a world where it is illegal or frowned upon, then everyone should act like they are hiding it when in public.
2) Too many non-family members getting involved; Incest usually come with the harem tag, but let me focus on the incest please! Don't waste my time with neighbors, shopkeepers, police officers, some random tv-salesman from 12 cities over, etc.
3) Not nearly enough pregnancy or conversations about inbreeding; i.e. risks vs rewards, family planning, how to explain it other people
4) Too much focus on the man (or 'man of the house'); Relationships are two-way (or an intersection in the case of harem) so why is it all about the man and what he is getting out of it?
5) They almost NEVER explore the emotional roller-coaster that is realizing that someone you've loved as a family member all your life suddenly makes you horny as hell and wanting to fuck like a bunny. This is a moment of turmoil that takes a lot of time to process. This is also an excellent opportunity to include scenes where two people who are hopelessly in lust with each other snap and let go of all restrains and fuck like crazy, but instead it's often treated like a tinder date that went well.

Basically, a lot of incest waste some of the potential of the genre.

These are all spot on.

Incest is highly common in games with no real impact. Would love to see a game that really focuses on these issues in a meaningful way, maybe even some 'OH SHIT' cliffhanger moments.

Would also like to see these done without their being an abuse aspect, but a more romantic and consensual look.

GIVE ME THE FLESH NOT THE BARE BONES. So they get built like the stereotypes Catman mention's and have not a sliver of life outside of that.
Sure there are exemptions but that goes for any game, the point is ITS EXCEEDINGLY RARE NOWADAYS.

Yeah I can agree with you on that one there are a few out there that deviate from the trops but to me there is some good story telling which keeps me interested and coming back but I wish more developers tried to find something different or take chances making a more grounded story with the real difficulties of having such a taboo relationship

I sorely wish stories tried to keep things more real sometimes; though I get that it can get heavy if they do.

The taboo nature is critical, the way it affects the people involved should be focused on; I get that the auths want to have spicy scenes early for retention, but man a good incest story with a build up that eventually breaks the dam and floods is just, peak.

And when it comes to repercussions, risks; I get they don't want to dive into the problems that can occur, but having a baby with a close relative is a HUGE risk; so many genetic conditions can arise, and that fear and worry I could imagine would wreak havoc on the parents psyches until they knew for sure. I would love some tense scenes where the brother brings the sister in for a checkup, and the doc clocks the concern as something more than a sibling should have; or at least the brother feels that way and clams up or something. I want that inner turmoil, that can then lead to a cathartic relief if/when things go ok.
Dodging bullets, but never wearing the protective gear.

As for the harem, I get it? I wish more devs made those completely optional though. And ya, none of this "All focus on the guy" it should be about all of the family. Everyone should have character growth, drama, tension and relief.

Thats why I think dating my daughter is nearly perfect for 3dcg incest games anyways. Its a slow process, you get the side characters to have fun with if you want on the side. Also, the story for the first two, and a half chapters anyway isnt half bad. When it comes to those slow burn games I cant really think of anything else that does it perfectly except maybe the incest patch for deviant anomalies. Although it isnt completely incest relationships. I really wish there were more slow burns though, nothing is worse than starting in a seemingly normal situation, and fucking in the first 20 minutes

Yeah there sure is truth in what you say. It takes some writing skills to get an interesting story and most don't try to find original plots. Or at least make things gradual, because more often than not, as you described, a date is enough to change people's mind about you
