I think music adds more to games but if needs to be more unique music like being and dik i don't really like generic music that much.

I think with the advent of tools like Udio and Suno, developers will increasingly use AI music for their VNs.
Hopefully this will increase the variety and quality, as it already makes good compositions.

Hope this isn't perceived as too much like some of the other threads, but this came to mind as I'm playing the endings of a very good VN that uses "songs" rather than instrumental music during many scenes.

The way I play such scenes typically means I'm hearing the background music play through multiple times. I like music and sound in a VN, so if it's there, I hate to turn it down too much or off, but when it's a "song" it does start to grind on me a little when playing out a well crafted and long lewd scene. During scenes such as this, I think I'd rather have instrumental music that fits the mood.

Even though the Devs for the one I'm playing now picked great music that really fits the scene, I kind of wish I could turn off the voice track.

I prefer instrumental. I rarely use music from the games themselves - most often I use jazz compositions from my own collection.

Always mute the music, just find it distracting. Will usually mute the other sounds as well, or sometimes set the other sound levels to very low.

Music gets turned way down or muted. Sometimes they pick something very annoying and it's set loud when starting.

I love it if it's classic such as violin or piano music, some of those got unique and wonderful masterpieces that'd make your ears melt, I usually visit lewd games for cool and chill songs, you can listen to it for hours, sadly most of AVN and other H-games don't have good soundtrack, only low quality and poor pop shit for peasants!

I don't mind the music, as long its not the same music the whole time, like different music change for different things going on.
