If it fits the scene and the right piece is being put on a charter that is written in a way it seems likely they would wear it.
Frequently you will get titles that will throw every LI in the same type of lingerie without a care in the world and at that point it just looses anything special it could have been as a story device/plot.

My thinking is that it would have to fit the game. If your game takes place in a medieval world, it seems weird seeing modern lacy lingerie in it. But if the game is good ,I try to overlook it.
