Hey guys, long time no see, huh?

I’m not going to beat around the bush: I’m working on a second game.
I got bored of Life’s Payback after 90 sex scenes and completely burned out during this last update.
I’m not having fun anymore. I’ve pushed this hentai engine (and myself) to its absolute limit, and right now continuing would just feel like grinding the same mechanics over and over. That wouldn’t be fair to you or to me. The story and characters deserve better than being dragged out when my passion has faded.
I can’t force myself to work more than 3–4 hours a day on it anymore without feeling miserable, so it’s time to step away.
To compensate, I’ve started something completely new that actually excites me again: a bigger challenge, a different tone, fresh mechanics, a new engine approach, and (hopefully) a real step forward for me as a creator.
I’m not abandoning Life’s Payback forever. The game is still there, fully playable, with every scene and update staying available. But active development is on hold. If the spark ever comes back, I might return to it. For now though, I need to work on something that keeps me up late coding because I can’t stop thinking about it.
Thank you for all the support on Life’s Payback, the comments, fan art, encouragement, memes... it meant a lot and carried me through some very long nights.
The new project will use the power of Daz Studio and is still going to be heavy Maledom, with the same other themes you love so much in Life's payback, hehe.
Expect real gameplay mechanics: combat system (similar to the Lumeria arc), meaningful choices that actually change the game, item crafting, resource gathering, and more.

I just want to let you know that this feature took weeks and thousands of lines of code, because I tried to turn the Ren'py engine into something else that it wasn't intended for.

I'm happy to finally be able to release the v2.0 of Life's Payback.
First of all, I pretended to be late on Discord, but I actually took one extra week to add more events and more animations for this update.

Anna's story took me a lot of time and I tried to do my best with the writing.
This update was way harder than the Elise/Mathilde one because I had to create almost everything from scratch, while Elise/Mathilde had a lot of stuff reworked, so it was way easier to deliver a lot of content in the v1.7 than in this version.
But I think I've managed to deliver enough animations so you guys can have a good time.

Hey guys, I hope these 5 extra days weren't too hard to bear!
Elise and Mathilde have suffered from poor animation quality since the first versions.
For example, Elise had the worst animation of the whole game (the facefuck in the classroom)
Fortunately, it was finally their turn to receive an update so I was able to improve the existing animations and make a few others.
Also, their stories were really rushed. Once you spotted Elise helping Mathilde cheat, you basically could blackmail her on that single fact to unlock 5 scenes with her.
Where's the corruption buildup in this? It had to get some changes.
On the other hand, the second part of their arc (once you unlock their home) was pretty good, so I have made Elise and Mathilde way more resistant to the MC's first attempts, by adjusting their first quests.
I also had 5 extra days to work on that update compared to the other updates. I am honestly not sure if you will be able to see the difference, so I would appreciate any feedback about the length of this update.
Lastly, if you didn't read my public posts, you guys will have to vote in a few days to tell me if you want to stick to the 14 days update formula, or if you liked all the in-between events I've added between the sex scenes in this update, to make them feel more rewarding.
If you feel like I should make more animations and less quests leading to them, this is also a possibility if you're seduced by the 3 weeks update idea but would like to have it done differently.
Before voting in a few days, keep in mind this was a 19 days update, not a 21 days one. Two extra days could give you one or two more animations, or a fair amount of quests leading to one of them.

I've faced a few issues while working on this update and I wasn't able to finish Catherine's animation on time.
I don't think a double poll winner was a good idea as they tend to have the most elaborate animations and I clearly couldn't handle two poll winners in one update.
Therefore, Catherine's winning scene is delayed to the v1.7 and I won't make double poll winners anymore.

There is a lot to say about this new feature, but I'll keep it short.
I just want to let you know that this feature took weeks and thousands of lines of code, because I tried to turn the Ren'py engine into something else that it wasn't intended for.
It's minimalist, but if you guys like it, I'll improve it when we get to work on this arc again, in the future.

- Fixed a bug who could make your game crash while sleeping at night because I am retarded as fuck.

Known issues:
- Some night animations have a volume very low, I suggest you increase the Sound Volume bar if you don't hear sound.
- Two final scenes don't have any dialogue because I'm too fucking hungry and I'm sick of that fucking update and I want to eat a kebab and chill in front of Doctor House so just close your eyes and make the dialogues yourself

Firstly, yeah it's been a while, so if you have no idea why the fuck it took so long because you do'nt read announcements on Discord, here is the explanation:
- I took a 14 days annual leave
- To celebrate Life's Payback birthday, I made a speical version, with WAY MORE content

I'm happy to finally be able to release the v2.0 of Life's Payback.
First of all, I pretended to be late on Discord, but I actually took one extra week to add more events and more animations for this update.
Yeah boy! Surprise!
But why?
Well, for those who don't know I'm taking my annual leave, from June the 4h to the 14th
So this is actually why I'm "late". No, I didn't struggle with anything, I just wanted to surprise you with one extra week of content, since you won't see me for a while after this update because of my holidays.
That way you have more scenes to enjoy and I won't miss you too much, lol
Also, another surprise, there's a new character (half of you probably guessed it) !
That way we can separate Lucie from Laura because they have the most complex SFW scenes

WHAT'S UP GUYS!
I'm so sorry to be so late. First of all, I owe you an explanation on why it took me 4 weeks instead of 3 weeks. I've faced a lot of issues during this update, but I've also had a lot of work to do on the scenery and the new character took me a god damn time to create and implement in the game (Wait, what? There's a new character?)
Yes my friend, you read it right, there's a new character to fuck, my friend.
Let's fucking go. That still doesn't say why I was so late on this update, so here is a list of my mistakes to be completely transparent with you guys :
- Unefficiency in the events pathing : That may sound ridiculous, but it's actually hard to have a proper writing with a character who can only say "Meow". I've redone the way the events unfold in the v1.9 a lot of time. Hopefully I've managed to make a writing decent enough to keep you interested!
- Exagerated perfectionism : That downside of my personality made me redo a few events and animations after changing major details. For example, I've completely redone the new character 3 times (face, body proportions, etc...) while the animations and renders were already done (yeah, I'm not even kidding)...
- A break was required : I've wasted 2 days worth of coding for a system which ended up not working. The goal was to make a clickable animated character instead of having the "talk" button next to them (Remember Sarah's bedroom in the evening?). So yeah, I needed a side_mask with a transparent background and shit. I gave up, that was too much work. So after wasting these 2 days I needed a mental break, so I took a 3 days break.
- Diversity : There's a lot of diversity in the sex positions in this update, which made a heavier workload.

A lot of things got in my way during this update, but I eventually finished it.
Sorry again for having postponed the update a few days later, my nephews visit wasn't planned.
Anna's story took me a lot of time and I tried to do my best with the writing.
This update was way harder than the Elise/Mathilde one because I had to create almost everything from scratch, while Elise/Mathilde had a lot of stuff reworked, so it was way easier to deliver a lot of content in the v1.7 than in this version.
But I think I've managed to deliver enough animations so you guys can have a good time.
Anyway, let's not waste any more time, I hope you like this new version.

Hey guys, I hope these 5 extra days weren't too hard to bear!
Elise and Mathilde have suffered from poor animation quality since the first versions.
For example, Elise had the worst animation of the whole game (the facefuck in the classroom)
Fortunately, it was finally their turn to receive an update so I was able to improve the existing animations and make a few others.
Also, their stories were really rushed. Once you spotted Elise helping Mathilde cheat, you basically could blackmail her on that single fact to unlock 5 scenes with her.
Where's the corruption buildup in this? It had to get some changes.
On the other hand, the second part of their arc (once you unlock their home) was pretty good, so I have made Elise and Mathilde way more resistant to the MC's first attempts, by adjusting their first quests.
I also had 5 extra days to work on that update compared to the other updates. I am honestly not sure if you will be able to see the difference, so I would appreciate any feedback about the length of this update.
Lastly, if you didn't read my public posts, you guys will have to vote in a few days to tell me if you want to stick to the 14 days update formula, or if you liked all the in-between events I've added between the sex scenes in this update, to make them feel more rewarding.
If you feel like I should make more animations and less quests leading to them, this is also a possibility if you're seduced by the 3 weeks update idea but would like to have it done differently.
Before voting in a few days, keep in mind this was a 19 days update, not a 21 days one. Two extra days could give you one or two more animations, or a fair amount of quests leading to one of them.

Hey guys,
I've faced a few issues while working on this update and I wasn't able to finish Catherine's animation on time.
I don't think a double poll winner was a good idea as they tend to have the most elaborate animations and I clearly couldn't handle two poll winners in one update.
Therefore, Catherine's winning scene is delayed to the v1.7 and I won't make double poll winners anymore.
As for the rest, I hope you guys will enjoy the new scenes!
