discussion LewdCorner Policy Update: Photorealistic AI Images Are No Longer Allowed

I generally don't voice my opinion about a change to LC in a manner in which I am about to do so. Specifically regarding to ownership and generally with so many words.

While I enjoy both realistic and non-realistic AI in both games and images, I think Jack's decision is a good one for the benefit LC's longevity.

If and when AI renderings are not considered a promotion of abuse/exploitation of RL humans, then it won't be a risk to web site ownership to provide said content

Said content, when included in sites like LC, currently are at the forefront of government scrutiny and litigation regarding AI (specifically child pornography/abuse). I want to thank Jack in making this decision, so that LC can provide a much needed outlet for (sorry, the term just came to mind) "edging" the AI/Gaming spectrum.

Ever since I found LC, I have been appreciative of the variety of content that has been provided. Yes, I have witnessed the past several years of introspect Jack has had, and what might seem as spur of the moment decision making affecting all users (donating or not), it apparently doesn't deter the fact that for those visiting LC (donating or not) tend to return at a later date.
THIS SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT LC.

Sure, I have had my moments, not publicly, but in my own head, of saying "WTF is going on", but I always remember that this is not "my" site. I visit this site, that is provided by somebody else, for the entertainment I desire. I just wish everybody else would see this the same way.

Most of the responses to the OP have been relatively positive and supportive. I like that.

For the few that are immediately asking for more specificity, well, I will leave you all to find your own enlightenment into what you can and cannot control in your lives.

This is a service that you are either donating to or not. Either way, nothing entitles you a voice in how the site is run or what it provides unless the owner grants such.

Anyway, personally, I thank you Jack, for keeping things moving forward with LC.

I mean they are already trying to ban all AI generated images off real people, not even Lolisho stuff just AI created things of real people like celebrities for exemple, so banning ALL photorealistic AI stuff that is to realistic is something that was gonna happen eventually

That's because all of the topics got restricted until Jack sorts them out for safety concerns. Some things need to be deleted off site.
Once the sorting is done, threads and their respective tiered topics should be back online. Patience.

Don't even know why it was allowed in the first place. There is already a huge issue with censorship of fictional content, I don't know why anyone would want to take an even bigger risk and have photo-realistic AI content here.

I approve of this new policy. I personally prefer cartoons and cartoonish CGI over photorealistic imagery anyway.

I'm OK with this, some of those are fucking hot but its not a necessity.
kinda very mild cartoon-ish AI art is just as hot.

not that furry, monster, hand-drawn or jav styled stuff either.

there is plenty of tame, AI art that fits into my "I'll save that for later" category
I've never saved any of the realistic AI stuff (even though it was tempting)

if you want that type of imagery go make an account on telegram or any other encrypted app. they'll welcome you

edit: there is also 3D CG which is acceptable in most areas / sites

Well yeah photorealistic AI is really bad and poses a risk to both site and users. And even more so in combination with real persons without their consent or underage themes.

There is a problem though: Where does semirealism start and "clearly stylized" end? That is a neverending discussion on ATF. Just saying there will be no discussion .... okay fine but can we at least try to somehow draw a line and give some guidance or will it be totally subjective?

It's better to make policy changes like this ahead of the curve before shit actually hits the fan (for this site at least). Otherwise you're too busy reacting and picking up the pieces instead of moving forward.

how about a thread connected to the rules page that clearly defines "as far as an image goes"
this should have example images for public & non-public sections with both 3D, AI & other types of art / images (if necessary)

this way when someone starts asking "why was my stuff deleted" the mods / admin can point them to the rules which everyone should read & understand.

this should also be a forced read alert every time the rules are updated.

i like it here, i don't want lewdcorner to vanish because of a few images someone screenshotted & bitched about.

I'm sick & tired of typing in url's for weeks & weeks that take me to nothing & are never returning.

Personally, i am mostly waiting for one of the ATF refugees to drop the sims mods already in the m+ mods section now, The few of the games in M+ that i followed have been abandoned for one reason or another, or are being completely remade to appease the lord of payment processing....

I think this will likely affect some of the M+ games though that use AI to push the limits, granted most of those games i think are dead, so, meh.

Well ATF is back up and not leaving anymore so they probablly went back there.

Look at all these young members who don't remember we once had a separate forum that was private for P5 content.

I still cry over all that work that is now deleted because someone reported that sub-site as well.

Let it be said before there is no reason for P5 anymore. It's the same content I found on all other similar forums.

Members+ isn't even worth it anymore but that's not the sites fault though.

I think the difference is that one's more in the grayzone than the other one. Hypocritical... Yeah maybe. But risking the whole site for that is a question that only the hosts of that site can answer to

Given that the vast majority of people arrested for having Smol content also had literal illegal content it's mostly a move to avoid unwanted attention. 9 times out of 10, feds don't want to put in the effort until that line is crossed.

cleaned? wasn't the point of p5 the stuff that wasn't allowed anywhere else? i.e. semi/photorealistic? its basically getting downgraded to p4, no? I mean don't get me wrong I understand the decision but it does suck.
