i think it's a problem with route differences, they don't have much shared parts anymore. So he does small updates , 1 route at a time, to keep the pace even. Jumping between narratives can be exhausting to develop, unless you have a proper workflow in place(like BaDIK, for example, with the slowing down due to routes divergence)
