For the guy that gave up, I recommended just use a walkthough. This is one of my favourite Ren'py games and I recommended you don't let the few draggy puzzle sequences ruin the game for you.

Is it a bit long winded? Yes.
Does the dev take himself a bit seriously and it drifts into being artsy-fartsy sometmies? Yes.

Despite these things it's a great game overall.

You come for the lewd stuff and stay for story with this game. It grows on you if you stick with it. I've played through it 4 times, which is alot given the length of it.
It's been a bit light on lewd stuff lately with dev drifting into thinking it's a novel again... but there's literally no other VN off the top of my head that's made me connect with the characters like I do for this one. The characters and story are very strong.

I'm currently waiting for a few updates to come out in a row before I jump back in. As the happiest I was playing this game was when I could binge it.
I'll give the $5 a month forever on subscibestar at this point as long as more content keeps coming.

Wish the game pages came with downloadable save files for games with as many event flags and as long as this one. Lost my save file when I switched PC and haven't found the will to start over.

This seems really good, but my main question is, is netorare avoidable? I just can't get into games with unavoidable netorare unless you can get revenge or the like.

I guess TECHNICALLY there is netorare since you can fuck married women, but the men are not present in any shape or form (that i know of)

There are a few events (maybe 2 or 3) where a female character does something with another male NPC without the MC present, however those are flashbacks and those males are only black figures, I would be lying if I told you they're avoidable because I really don't know, but since they are flashbacks some people may consider them NTR while some people don't, I personally don't because they're flashbacks so the MC wasn't a part of their lives when those happened.

That being said, there's also a couple of events where the girls will do something sexual between them while the MC isn't present, however that being NTR is also debatable.

If your only problem would be the MC being cheated on by the females then you have nothing to worry about, enjoy the game
