Is gameplay important to you?

Do you prefer games with little to no gameplay so you get to the sex scenes quickly (like NPC games for example) or games that actually play like games but with sex scenes?
I have no problem with the classic point and click vn but if the game is actually good I will prefer, the only situation that gameplay matter is if the gameplay is bad I think

I prefer minimal game systems, I'd rather just have a good story with meaningful choices. Though some games do it well, like Degrees of Lewdity.

It depends on what I am expecting going into it. If it's a Ren'py VN game then I am fine with there not really being any gameplay to it since it's what I already expect, but if I am going into just about anything else I hold it to a higher standard. Basically, if you are going to make a game in an engine that isn't known for VNs, then you need to prove it was worth doing so IMO. Why make it in unity or unreal if it's going to be a glorified kinetic novel anyways? Its a tricky thing to do because even if they manage to have good gameplay, now the question is can you integrate the porn in a good way. Usually the answer is a no, it's just something that feels shoved in there like the dev remembered half way through "oh yeah, this is a porn game" and it interrupts the main experience. As an example, Tamer Vale is a game I really enjoy, the card battle mechanics are actually engaging and fun, but it feels jarring when you beat a boss and it's like okay cool now that you were immersed in the tactical card battle, here's a quick porn animation.

im not the biggest fan of games with complex gameplay because that requires 2 hands so...

The gameplay is most important. A game without gameplay is not a game in my opinion. Sandbox games with the possibility to make own decisions and choices are the best.

As long as the gameplay is fun and not make me tired or bored before the sex scene. I'm fine with that

Yea, I get bored with just story and if the content is just brainless NSFW without any logic or effort I lose interest fast. Sandboxes are best for me, I like to actually play a game a little grind never hurt.

Grinding aspects have never been my thing, but I get how different implementations work for different games and audiences. They're will never be a definitive answer or concept for this, but I've found I'm more malleable to different types of games based on the quality of the story.

If I'm playing a VN, I don't expect gameplay. In fact, it's kinda annoying when there is some. But for RPG or any of the touching style games, I know what to expect, so I like having the extra stuff to do. That's the work for the reward of the lewd stuff. Don't make it too grindy though.

Shitty gameplay, shitty porn: a dime a dozen.

Shitty gameplay, good porn: somewhat common.

Good gameplay, shitty porn: rarer, but what’s the point?

Good gameplay, good porn: literally diamond. One example of this is Aurelia.

I would really love a game with good game play, but those are really rare. Too often "gameplay" means sandboxy elements or stupid minigames, which rarely work. Does anyone have suggestions for games with good gameplay? Apart from Aurelia.

It's not so much Important as it is a very welcome surprise.
At this point I'm used to H-Games not having great gameplay, so when comes around it's like, "Oh! Neat!"

the best is when gameplay leads into the sexy stuff without too much grinding
