Do you prefer games with little to no gameplay so you get to the sex scenes quickly (like NPC games for example) or games that actually play like games but with sex scenes?
I can find both entertaining but normally I just play them for the story like reading a book or a graphic novel. Some exceptions are if the game has rpg elements in them or like Summertime Saga that brings back nostalgic memories of playing adventure games on my pc in the nineties.
it depends on the game I'm looking for at the time. I could do without some management type games that drag on forever before getting to see anything. but, if the game feels rushed to the action, it doesn't feel organic between the characters and is boring. And, walls of text with no options to decide how things progress is a buzzkill.
If the gameplay feels grindy, I might cheat to skip ahead to the story, however, if the gameplay feels meaningful and ties into the story, I really enjoy it. But, creating a game with that delicate balance is incredibly difficult.
I think it depends, I don't exactly play these games for the high end gameplay, but at the same time just clicking through walls of text is very boring. I like having just the bare minimum of gameplay to keep me engaged
Depends, for most games if I'm really enjoying the story then I can wait all day to get to the porn because I'm still having a good time regardless, something like Cosy Cafe would be a good example of this
There's so few games where the gameplay is actually fun, that I've grown to dislike it. If it was done well and not just a silly mini-game to pad the runtime, I'd be down, but I prefer the devs put the effort into the story and renders instead.
I like gameplay because sometimes its fun to get to the scenes by playing the game BUT only if the game is not grindy then it just becomes annoying to get to the scenes and stuff
I am only interested in choices/gameplay if it changes the narrative of the story or game. There are some dev's who put in choices just as filler and the story still progresses the same no matter what choices are made.
Devs of porn games should focus on one aspect of the game, either you have a solid gameplay or lock on the story and writing, they don't have unlimited resources to waste.
I have seen games put pointless mechanics that adds nothing to the aside for making you lose time, like Prince of Suburbia, it has the 'sandbox' aspect but its just a bunch of arrows at the edge of the screen to change places and a few objects to interact with but you have no choice, you have to interact with them for the story to advance.
For me it depends on the game and the story quite a lot and obviously the gameplay is good enough. If the gameplay is solid and enjoyable sure I don't mind it but if it's just thrown in to extend game time I rather just cheat past game play elements.
I don't mind gameplay but sadly for Adult games, it usually a lot of grinding or fetch quest that make you have to go see a guy at a certain day and time. Basically because of shitty gameplay design for most adult game makes it that people prefer not to have any gameplay at all but instead just be a story with multiple choice.
Also I hate porn games that advertise as story rich slow burn but in reality 99% of these games are generic boring story that goes on and on in circrles about nothing.
I'm perfectly fine even with kinetic novels so I can't say gameplay is that important, but it absolutely can elevate a game to have engaging gameplay, and no the stock random encounter turn based RPGM combat absolutely doesn't count
It depends on the quality of the gameplay, honestly. I love a good game, I love a good game with sex, but I abhor things that make me jump through badly designed mini games first.
Its a mixed bag, of course, but I tend to think there's a middle ground that's ideal. Like, something along the lines of Kasumi rebirth is too story devoid despite having all the potential to be great with just a touch of it.
