You might have encountered problems when edit saves or using someone else save because since Android 11 it's near imposible to access the android system folders without rooting your phone. But root implies risks and disadvantages such as banking apps nor working or even Netflix refusing to be installed.
This method is an easy and safe one to do it, since it's not root but it somehow tricks the system into giving you access. Both apps are available over Play Store so they're safe, and the process is very easy but I'll ve available to answer any question thst may arise and it's in my possibility

Hey, I'm not sure, but I believe you can back up saves using ADB if you can't find the files in the user space. I'm not sure if ADB bypasses root, but that would be my best guess.

if you using someone port you can get the saves file in documents/yourportname/yourgame

for install mod just put your mod file in game folder, for example I have 0xURM mod in my game
uninstall it ? just delete the mod file

my android version is 12, my phone is not rooted. not root is required and it never will be
