for the game in general I prefer to use female characters. The reason is... uhhhh... smaller hitboxes.

If we are only talking about AVN, then the short answer is "never". If I had more time to play games, I might have played some games with a FMC (unless sex with the opposite sex was unavoidable since I'd be only interested in a lesbian path then... That way, I would still be able to immerse myself a bit in the game I certainly don't want to groom the shota next door or get blackmailed by an ugly bastard ).

I'd say that when I first started I played FMC games more often than Male ones. I found it better since I'd get to see more scenes of a girl I found really hot getting plowed compared to having to roll the dice and see if the girls I found the sexiest in a Male MC game got enough attention or if they were relegated to supporting cast, or worse, forgotten completely.

It's changed now since there's a bunch of smut I'd call shovelware that feels very samey in regards to FMC games, so I tend to forego them unless I'm familiar with the author or it's got a high rating. Worst offenders are the RPGM games from Japan in this aspect.

it depends, if game have a plot and lots of dialogues male, if it is a simple mmo or some slasher female is ok and sometimes preferable because fan-service

For me, I usually don't care, but some variables usually make me prioritize FMC. In Cyberpunk 2077, I picked female because of the better voice acting. Then I had to play again as a male because Panam was not approachable if you play as a woman. So... Yeah...
And for AVN, there are a couple of wholesome FMC games: Summer in the City, Beauty and the Thug, even the not-so-wholesome and unsettling "Village Slut Transformation"

Video games in general, where you can choose your sex, I play as a female character mainly because I enjoy looking at a female. But adult games, I don't mind lesbian content, but prefer MF or MFF and I am the only one allowed a dick so I prefer playing as a male.

Almost never, there's got to be something really eye-catching about a game for me to even look closer after seeing that "Female Protagonist" tag.

I almost never play as a female in the adult games. Not because I'm opposed, or "can't relate" but because most of them are just either poorly written or have plots that don't interest me. There have been a few exceptions. For example, I enjoyed what I played of Fashion Business, I'm just giving it more time to cook before I go back to it.

In more mainstream games, I play as a female frequently, and depending on the game, there are different reasons each time. For Mass Effect, I almost always play as Fem Shep because Jennifer Hale is freaking amazing with her voice work. In most RPGs with a Ranger class, if I get t ochoose I play the ranger as a female, and that one goes back to a character from AD&D that I inherited when my "girlfriend" quit. I mean, we were like 11, and she wasn't my gf, but the rest of the party, and the DM, insisted she was, so... whatever. But the DM made me take over her ranger when she quit playing, and I ended up LOVING the class, so every ranger i played after that was a female, if possible. Sometimes it's just because the female toon is hot as fuck and if I'm going to stare at an ass for hours on end, I'll pick a hot female ass over a male ass every time lol.

Never. I don't want to play a sausage fest, and female led porn games are typically "lets sink as low as possible" or some sort of rape/loss simulator. not to say there aren't probably exceptions, but I certainly want nothing to do with them.

Until "Summer in the city" I haven´t found any good game to be a MC of the opposite sex. Would like to, though. But being dominated as MC is none of my fetishes as well as female domination. Most of the games with a female MC are about that.

If you liked Summer in the City, try Beauty and the Thug. It has a very, very similar story framework, no domination storylines and similar FMC personality. And currently has more fetishes to discover, which is nice...

A few years back I would always choose a male to play as for some asinine reason, but ive come around to playing more female characters.

They tend to have more effort put into them or, at least far more interesting visual/cosmetic options than men most the time, however I always play as a male in bioware rpgs its just stuck with me.

When I was a kid, Aliens was the favorite movie of my friend group. Vasquez was the most badass character, along with Ripley. Not only would we play as women, we would argue over who got to be them.

No one gave a shit about this stuff when/where i grew up (at least with the political hot-button bullshit of today, not to imply that is your agena with a simple question here in this topic. )

In video game, id rather watch the ass and hips of a woman in third person games. otherwise, its all just faceless "Doom Guy," even when I am playing Slime Rancher where the PC is a woman.

Story-based, I do relate more to a man, so I will pick that option. Especially the games here. I cant relate to a lesbian, even if I want to watch.
